It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

I mostly play 3rd person RPGs that offer 100s of hours of gameplay. I'd rather spend that time looking at Khaleesi than I would Khal Drogo. In other games like Mass Effect, Femshep's voice actress does a phenomenonal job, whereas Broshep's voice actor is friggin awful. And this game has no beards. Male heroes have beards -- just look at Jesus, Lincoln and the guys from ZZ Top. Judge not lest Ye be judged, home slice.
