It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

Bump for later Dont even try, i will fucking find you

I made my warlock female because of the commercial, and my hunter for the dance. Simple.
-
3 RepliesBecause most guys are slightly homophobic and would rather look at a chicks hind end in third person than another dudes.
-
They secretly are beta's or a girl trapped in a boy's body. If they deny either one of these then obviously they are lying :)
-
The armour looks better on women, male Titans look stupid, and cause they smaller so should be a little harder to hit in PvP but ain't to sure on lol
-
To be honest, I was late to coming to destiny and I just mashed the a button to get it started as quickly as possible. That way I have one female character that was just the default at the time

Stop bumping this -blam!-ing thread

2 RepliesBump-I remember this thread when there were only a few people.

I'm a role play -blam!- so all my characters have names / personalities. I'm female IRL, two of my guardians are female. My hunter is loosely based on me, looks and personality wise. But my Titan is female, and she's a gentle soul but has a take-no-shit view on life. Kinda motherly too, so the protective side fit the Titan class. My warlock however is a flamboyant male, very "pretty boy."

1 ReplyWho the hell revived this post lmao😂😂
-
All my Guardians are males. I had a certain thought process for doing that. Hunter: I am a male, and I based my Hunter off of me. Titan: I felt that as a "wall", a Titan should be as big as you can make them, and females in Destiny just don't have the same muscle mass that males do. My Titan is pretty huge though. It was worth it. Warlock: I'm 2 for 2 on male characters, may as well make one more. And that's how it happened.

Wanted to switch it up from the regular male characters in every other game.

2 RepliesEdited by RyDyR: 10/10/2015 4:55:26 AMYou like men and want to play with a man all day?
Op is fgt
I did it so I can differentiate my 2 Hunters.
-
Because chicks are hotter than dudes?
-
1 Replybecause why would you wanna spend all day looking at a male when you can make a female and look at her booty
-
because a$$ obviously
-
I main a dude warlock. But I did make a female awoken hunter. I just thought that it fit the class.
-
I main a female only because it wasn't my original main. My warlock is an awoken male, hunter female human and Titan is Exo male. I varied it up
-
Personally while I was making my hunter I thought that the class was all about speed. But I looked at the dude character models and thought "these guys seems to chunky to be all about speed." So I just made a girl for my hunter because it made more sense in my head for the class.

1 ReplyIt's very refreshing to play a female protagonist that's not hypersexualized. My guardians are all badass space warriors and that's all there is to it. The feminist in me is pleased. Plus Samus is one of my favorite video game heroes. So yeah.
-
2 RepliesAlways viewed futuristic heroes as more badass when they are female . Besides that the armor generally looks better on them and yea it's a fantasy game so why not be the polar opposite of everything I am in real life? If I want to be what I am I can just put my controller down at any point. It's always good to just "escape from reality" every so often.

I originally made one female and one male character, different races and classes, for variety. My third character was created by my fiancee and she made her female, so I ended up 2/3 that way.
-
Since it's an avatar in a game, I don't see why it matters. I originally had only my warlock as female, but rerolled my hunter to one when people were saying female models had smaller hit boxes, not true by the way. While I kind of regret doing it, I rarely see my character, so their gender is irrelevant. I only regret losing all of my faction progress.

Honestly I think guy hunters look funny, hence why I have a girl. Titan males are very bulky and I prefer the armor of a female. And warlocks look odd either way to me.
