It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

1 ReplyI actually play female in every game I can except mass effect. Always felt like that should be a male hero. But in destiny, I like the customization better and the armor looks better imo. I would much rather look at a female in a game and it's harder for me to make an attractive male. I don't do it for any other reason than aesthetic purposes. I do think the male characters look better in skyrim, so I always chose male...but other than mass effect and skyrum, it'll probably always be female lol...clear it up? Do I sound like a creep? Haha

2 RepliesAll my guardians are females because if I'm going to stare at the screen for hours I want to see a female.

Necrobump
-
Because nothing stands against the standard dances when it comes to female exos
-
If that's all it takes to confuse you. I'm glad I don't raid with ya

Edited by Onyx Guard: 11/3/2015 9:32:34 PMI made it for my sister. She doesn't play so I took over.
-
1 ReplyI'm a male- so I make a male character. I don't know why other males make females. It's a bit weird if you ask me.
-
My main is Male Hunter but warlock gear looks sissy and Titans look way to un-proportional... Thus I mad two females instead
-
2 RepliesEdited by TheRedNas: 11/3/2015 8:38:36 PMIt's as close as I will ever come to a female :'(
-
I do it for the looks of the character, my warlock is female because i like how the warlock looks as a female. Also because in most of the older rpgs spellcasters were usually female so it is a throw back to the old school gaming days, mainly final fantasy. Hope this helps.

Why make an awoken then? Or an exo? My chars r based off my little girl and my wife (and me), but my wife isnt an awoken. Should we b surprised if u turned out to b something other than the alien u made?

2 RepliesWhy does someone start a thread with the same god damn question 50 times a day?
-
I don't know why I do... It's something different I suppose.
-
Two reasons, because I'm a guy and get bored of male characters, and because the males in this game look unnaturally burly and I dislike. Plus, like, you know, ass. Lol xD
-
1 ReplyEdited by NAMUH38: 11/3/2015 8:44:27 PMTitans should be male, the female model looks hideous in the bulky armor Warlocks should be female, the male model looks like too much of a meathead Hunters... they go both ways
-
Confuses me too...idk then they have these weirdass names.
-
Because they are all 9 year olds who are curious about women and want to have breasts.
-
Besides male characters tend to run like they have wooden legs. At least in destiny.
-
Ive always picked female characrers. Id just much rather look at them rather than a guys ass. Shit look a my bungie avatar lol
-
Will quoting from a guy from a post about Pokemon he said "if Im going to play this whole game looking at the backside/ass of my avatar I rather it be a girl" lmao.
-
Prefer my Warlock as a female. Gear looks better on her. My main is my male Hunter though
-
I like the character models more, Idk why but I really enjoy skinnier character models in shooters, but in RPGs with the right options, I always make my character a fat alcoholic. Not sure why
-
Edited by Thr3e2wenty8: 11/3/2015 8:31:56 PMBecause I'm a raging alcoholic and chicks get drinks free.
-
BECAUSE I want to , that was easy
-
4 RepliesSmaller hitboxes. Armor also tends to look better. I go for aesthetics 99% of the time. I had a female titan but the armor looked terrible so i deleted her and made a male one. Much better looking
-
2 RepliesI tend to play characters with a slight roleplaying theme behind it, and I felt like a warlock should be a female awoken personally. I already had an exo male Hunter and a human male Titan when I finally made my warlock. So variety is another part of it.
