It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

eh, originated from WoW, female characters have a smaller friction frame and don't collide as much and also in halo: reach people played females because the sounds they make are softer and aren't as loud

Edited by RemittingFire28: 10/12/2014 7:24:35 PMDat azz doe... Really though I have a male warlock and female titan and hunter. The Warlock seems like a male character, educated, tested, led by reason. Hunter seems like a female, flippant, competitive, led by emotion even when not logical. The titan I made a female awoken just to see if I got extra dialog In the reef, hoping there was some type of actual storytelling being done by bungie, it doesn't make a difference by the way. Having a smaller frame on the titan is a nice bonus, as well as the subtle ass sway when running through the tower, also I can have my girl jump on the mic and talk which makes it a lot easier if you're actually looking for help with something.

it don't really matter lol Maybe people wanna experience different shi, but i feel you on that .. males should be males nd females should be females .. it's funny cuz when i play with my friends who are guys with female character my girl gets mad cuz she thinks they're girls
-
because they're lonely
-
Just felt the hunter was a more female character
-
*facepalm... another stupid female character thread that gets really weird really fast....
-
because they want some eye candy
-
they are women trapped in mens bodies
-
The manly testosterone in this one is strong.

4 RepliesI don't get it. This topic was done to death recently. A couple thousand replies in that (exactly the same) post. I don't see what the problem is. Or why we need to resurrect it. Unless this is just an attempt to get a couple thousand replies on a pointless thread of course. If so. Good luck.

Because Girls have more Sex appeal, they have boobs, because 'I'm horny 75% of the time, ,and i am a dude I don't play a game to be myself now do I?
-
To be honest i choose my gender based on the class. I made a female warlock and hunter because i dont see men in my eyes being all "magic-y" or very quick and stealthy(dont get me wrong they can but i see women fulfill that role better) My titan on the other hand will be a male because theyre meant to be tanks and as i said i personally see men being buff and tank like(dont get me wrong ladies can do it too but more men are buff to be honest) But then there are the people who are just like "f*** it, i like a girls butt"

when they open a strip club in the i tower i got a job have you

5 Repliesgod not this again...

I do it for variety. also, seems silly that people actually care...

Female Exo dance. <-period

1 ReplyI'd rather look at a female than a male, more pleasing to the eyes. OP-Maybe you are the one who wants some D
-
Better hair mostly.

1 ReplyI don't know why I do it, something just feels right about it. Maybe I'm harboring transexual desires or something, but I'd like to think of it as examining myself through a different lens. If there's something video games are good at, it's allowing me to experience many different aspects of life that I'll never get to see in the real world; from executions in Skyrim to PTSD in Spec Ops: The Line, to being a woman in Destiny, it's a great way to expand my perception of the world and more easily slip into other people's shoes. Also, dat ass.

I like male characters batter, easier for me to relate but I made a female titian because the male was so bulky lol
-
As I've said many times before, for me it's because none of the male faces are any good. They all look like someone has drawn a face on a foot.
-
Why not?
-
B/c if I'm going to look at a character model for hours I'd rather it be a chick. Also I like the look of female hunters way more than male hunters

I prefer the female body build to the male; I don't want my characters looking like Thor with the Iron Man suit on. Male 30 Warlocks are comical. Honestly, when I'm away from the Tower for a while, I forget my character is female. The build is just slender, and could very well be a non-superhuman-level-strength male.
