It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

1 ReplyEdited by JuanManArmy_Pro: 10/9/2015 2:38:26 PMI think the female Titan makes a lot of armor look better... for example the crota raid gear looked terrible on Titan but a little less terrible on female titan
-
Edited by Exoreath: 10/9/2015 1:59:58 PMI am not a culprit personally but I think the logic is would you rather look at a girls arse or a guys arse
-
I made a female Hunter just because I thought it'd be cool to have a chick kick ass without magic or brute strength. I probably watched too many movies/tv shows and copied off of the badass female protagonists though. That and I wanted to somewhat duplicate the Vanguard mentor trio, two male and one female.

Edited by Warlock: 10/9/2015 1:52:56 PMI try to make my characters look like me, but I understand guys who make female ones. If your going to stare at a characters ass all day in the tower, why not have it be a girls ass? I have 2 warlocks that I swap gear between. I made one female so I knew which one I was on at the time, since they wear the same gear

2 RepliesEdited by Orphanore: 10/9/2015 12:23:46 PMI don't want to hear a man scream. My character isn't no pussy!

Edited by Anteater, Network Overlord: 10/9/2015 1:44:44 PMIdk, usually when I get a new game with character customization I let my wife or niece design the character. They enjoy it and idc what they look like lol.

First character was human male titan, second was exo male hunter... seemed right to have third be awoken warlock female.

Edited by Raksis The Great: 10/9/2015 1:43:24 PMWhy not?

3 RepliesEdited by TronCat: 10/9/2015 12:11:58 PMI identify as a female exo/panda who are you to judge?

I'm boss in my own right irl so I don't get a kick from watching a male model. What I do enjoy is creating this gorgeous female destroyer of worlds and then watching her vogue at the end of a strike after picking up an exotic. Pure preference. I only do males in MMOs due to the relatively close bonds you build with the people there.
-
Completionism mostly. Male Exo warlock Female awoken hunter Male human Titan Really just wanted to cover all bases when the game came out in case I would miss something. Turns out I didn't miss a thing and now have a female hunter. Oh well.
-
Just got bored with always playing male characters, my warlock is male, but hunter and Titan are female. And it doesn't really have any difference in a 1st person shooter, unless you are using a sword, or super that puts you in third person, you never really see what gender your character is.

9 RepliesEasy answer .. They are nerds
-
6 RepliesThey play female character because they can't get one in real life
-
Because I wanted to. You have a problem with that?
-
They are bisexual
-
They have no girlfriend and are forever alone. Either that or they're just a pervert.
-
1 ReplyIt's because they are secret gay gay.

I have one pimp and two hoes

1 ReplyPersonally, I don't think that hunters should be oaf like. Also slightly smaller hit boxes for pvp.
-
I do it for variety. I have one of each class, race, and sex. Male Exo Titan Male Awoken Warlock Female Human Hunter. To me they just seem to fit together like this
-
1 ReplyBecause in my opinion, they look better than males. Not just because I'm a guy, but male characters are Ugly (except for Titans) I mean I've seen some male warlocks who are just a rectangle with arms and a cool hat. That's their body shape. And Male Hunters can be as big as male Titans. Also a problem, as hunters are supposed to be the " assassin/scout " class.

Rather look at a chick for more than 20 days playtime than a dude
-
Why the -blam!- not?
