It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

...Lara's fault!!! ever since Tomb Raider, all heid bangers should be bonnie looking lassies :-)

2 RepliesMy hunter is a female because I'm twelve years old and super horney. None of that was true but I'm pretty sure that's the answer you're looking for so there you go.
-
It's a purely masochistic reason.... We like looking at a girl better than a guy.
-
1 ReplyI've made my characters gender go by their subclasses. So Hunter is a female(swift and silent); and the Titan(support and tank class) and warlocks(can be both genders) are males.
-
1 ReplyFemale Awoken have some very dangerous hips.
-
Because they look bad ass.
-
2 RepliesThe female characters have smaller hit boxes than the males. Harder to hit in crucible
-
1 ReplyIf I play a game with potential 3rd person perspective, I don't wanna look at some dude butt all day. Play as a female.
-
I just think the armor looks better on females. I'm not sure.
-
Because the male Hunter model looks stupid and not what I think a Hunter should look like.
-
I made a male Hunter & Exo Titan..Girlfriend made a female Warlock..No problem at all for me
-
My daughter wanted to make a third character for me. I ended up with a blue female hunter lmao.
-
I made all characters other than my main a girl. It was easier to distinguish them at first but then I made my secondaries into one of each class so in the end it didn't even matter. At this point it was out of habit
-
I've been creating characters that look like me since it was first made an option on games, it gets boring, my wife wanted me to create a character that looked like her so she could see herself kicking ass on the TV lol
-
Does it even matter lol
-
I generally play as a woman in every game that gives you the choice because in most of the games that don't, you play as a man. It's just for variety.
-
I have 3 chars one of which is female. I did it for variety, just like I made sure to have an awoken, a human and an exo.
-
I have 2 hunters one male one female. I did it so I can easily know which is which
-
I made my first guardian a female awoken hunter. I wanted to make my character a badass so obviously I chose to make it a lady. Let's be honest guys.....the girls make us look like wimps. Just look at man flu vs when girls get the flu. We turn into the biggest crybabies in the world.
-
I like the hear them scream & moan.
-
Because I have no house
-
2 Repliesbecause i rather look at a female on my screen than a male
-
1 ReplyEdited by milkcat: 11/3/2015 10:18:19 PMmale hunters are really fricken FAT

1 ReplyWarlocks and hunters look good as female toons. And we're comfortable with it from games like metroid, samus is bad ass!
-
Girl characters secretly have a little more agility

1 ReplyI actually play female in every game I can except mass effect. Always felt like that should be a male hero. But in destiny, I like the customization better and the armor looks better imo. I would much rather look at a female in a game and it's harder for me to make an attractive male. I don't do it for any other reason than aesthetic purposes. I do think the male characters look better in skyrim, so I always chose male...but other than mass effect and skyrum, it'll probably always be female lol...clear it up? Do I sound like a creep? Haha
