To consider anything in a video game as earned is just silly to me. Some of the things I earned? My two college degrees. Four years of never sleeping so I could graduate with honours. My 80K a year take home. I lived in a damn near condemned store front because I couldn't afford rent on the spot and on an apartment. My wife and children. Through everything keeping the peace of mind to be attentive and understanding with my family earned me their love.
Go ahead and earn your SUROS and your other exotics. Pathetic.
And to all the haters gonna troll this, I am toasting you in the cab of my '69 Camaro never regretting spending my earlier years doing shit that mattered instead of building my KDR.

This is the exact argument of an earner, while I personally joke about it I really don't care, but the point is if you grinded strikes day in and day out for a particular weapon that means someone gave up time, the same way you did, to have something they want in particular. Your argument is like "well I worked hard and gave up my time for what I have so you spending all day grinding and giving up your time doesn't entitle you to something others aren't entitled too." Or This would be like someone who is rich getting pissed off because instead of 1 person winning the lottery or a couple people winning the publishers clearing house and keeping the dollar down, everybody wins the lottery and publishers clearing house and the value of the dollar drops to shxt and the guy that busted his ass is being told by all the winners to stop being a cry baby.

Actually that woudl be YOUR logic is flawed. His is spot on. In Destiny you earn the OPPORTUNITY to be given a rewards. What you actually GET is luck. So the only people who have ANY room to talk about "earning" their weapons are those who have completed bounties for them. Everyone else....got lucky. The only difference between me---who got my second IB in a VoG run...and everyone else who's cleared the VoG 15 times and hasn't gotten one.... ...is LUCK. I have no reasonable basis to think I'm somehow a "better" player than those who have done the same activities as I have, but just didn't get as lucky. To think anything different is lunacy.

Love the people who are mad, all of your tears are so delicious. The entitlement is real. If you can't be entitled online you gotta have a dxck measuring contest over the forum. Boohoo people can't be special in a game because they don't have time to properly build a character and scream for entitlement because their lives are too good for those who game more often so they should get stuff handed to them vs wait for an rng drop. Side note. Any idiot can gather enough coins to purchase any 1 item. Coins have no value in this game. Case and point I have near 200 and nothing to spend them on. It doesn't even come close to the time spent by some players who grinded for weapons.

Thing is, most people saw this as a bragging post when really nothing listed is anything to brag about. The point was that all these people are arguing so fiercely over who earned and didnt earn an exotic on a video game that I decided to put a perspect8ve onto this debocle about what really matters, and that is your accomplishments in this real world, whether they are great, small, or mediocre, strive to achieve in the real world not just the virtual one. Then I got a bunch of flamers and had a blast trolling them. ;)
