I do not have the time nor the 5 people I can get. I should be able to continue leveling up normal armor to reach level 30.
plus I don't think I have the dedication to complete it if I fail many times
3 RepliesEdited by Tier 5 Gambit Enjoyer: 10/8/2014 4:17:17 PMThis topic is either a troll topic, or OP is simply lazy and needs to STFU. Here's why;
I do not have the time nor the 5 people I can get.
It literally takes less than 10 minutes to find a group to raid with on ANY console, using either/both destinylfg and/or the forums. YOU don't even have to create a topic/lfg post; all you literally have to do is go to a topic and say; hey, I'll join! There's plenty of people who want to do the raid all the time, and plenty who haven't done it at all and want to as well. I do this all the time, and I raid with random groups, most of which I never play with again (not for any bad reason, I just don't). It's literally no big deal. And I'm particularly a solo gamer; other than Destiny, I never party up or play with anyone (other than with real life friends). The whole "anti-social" excuse people use is 100% bullsh*t; if you wanna do it, just do it.
I should be able to continue leveling up normal armor to reach level 30.
Why? Literally, what's so f*cking practical about it? The only reason in the entire game to want to get to level 30 is to make the raid on hard mode just a little bit easier. That's it. That is literally it. There's no achievement/trophy for it, there's no enemies anywhere else in the game that are above 26 to make your boots shake, it's not a requirement to get access to something, there's literally nothing. So tell me, if you're not even going to do the raid anyways, on any difficulty, why does being level 30 matter so much to you? You're fine being level 29 kid.
plus I don't think I have the dedication to complete it if I fail many times
Well considering you probably haven't even played the raid, you should probably know; a first timer is guaranteed death, multiple times. This is undeniable fact. I did. But I got over it, and got better. Now I breeze through the entire raid, start to finish, in roughly an hour (even with just a "decent" team). All you're literally doing is complaining because you're lazy, and don't want to do something because "it's not going the way I want." Get over it and do the raid, or stay at level 29. Either way, just shut up. I couldn't care less.

I'm a LVL 28 and the Raid on Normal is pretty much a joke! So you must just be a lazy wah wah!
-
I met people on here to do the raid with since my friends had all done it and didn't want to do it again. There are plenty if experienced groups to do the raid with that are happy to help, just ask around. Plus, it only takes about 2 hours to do the raid with a solid team.
-
Agreed. Anyways the DLC will put you past level 30 without effort.
-
Even if you aren't completing the raid you should be able to go from start to gorgon chests in 30 minutes once you know the fights. That gets you a shot at like 4/5ths of the raid loot.
-
You can't find 5 people to raid with? So you go on the forums to tell us this where there are literally hundreds of topics, 2 I know are specifically looking for raiders. ????
-
3 RepliesWell you can't reach level 30 with regular armor so deal with it.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Gubzs: 10/8/2014 6:03:19 PMI'm sort of pissed that Iron Banner gear doesn't get you to 30. There's no PvP method to getting 30. I literally can obtain nothing useful from the Iron Banner for my current characters that can play in it.
-
2 RepliesThen this isn't the game for you then. But let's be honest here its so easy to get 5 other people and I did VoG today in a hour with a bunch of random people. Put in the effort and get that shit done.
-
2 RepliesThere's literally no reason for you to be level 30 if you will never raid.
-
2 RepliesI agree to a point. I do believe the raid shouldn't be the only way to level 30, but I don't believe any way should be quick.
-
If you don't have the dedication to complete it, then why do you think it should just be handed to you? Quit being antisocial and get a group together to complete it.
-
I'm with you 100% on this post.
-
its not actually that bad, my crew and I can get to Atheon in about an hour now
-
3 RepliesSo what you are saying is you don't deserve to be level 30
-
I shouldn't have to play the nightfall or missions or strikes or pvp to earn anything. ....
-
Raid literally takes less than 1 hour now. Think you are just butt hurt and friendless
-
I should never have to play crucible in this game :( Why you want lv30 if your not going to raid anyway. There is no point to lv30 unless you are raiding.
-
None of my friends even play on the Ps4. Just go to www.Destinylfg.com or www.destinylfg.net and get 5 people. It's -blam!-ing easy lol. Sorry, but you have to do the raid to get to 30, because that's what Bungie said. Besides, the raid is -blam!-ing easy, even on hard mode.
-
We had 3hours with a very good raid leader And its worth it
-
Well then you won't be getting to level 30 period. Thems the facts. There's plenty of places to find a raid group, and it's good fun too. Be more open
-
It's absolutely frustrating when you run it several times and get the same drops over and over too...I'm certainly reaching my breaking point on the raid lol
-
The raid is only as hard as you make it.
-
Being able to get to lvl 30 from the raid just shows you have the time to upgrade the best gear in the game currently and that's how it should be. If you don't have the time to get to said lvl or the gear not sure what to tell you.
