So rumor has it that the Vex Mythoclast is getting a nerf (No I don't have it.....yet) due to all the continuous crying.
My question is are you -blam!-ing serious?
The Community gets HANDED a TOP TIER weapon [SUROS Regime] and now that they can't get handed the Vex Mythoclast and it's actually an EARNED Exotic; people are crying like babies and want it nerfed. That's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard.
Crucible ISN'T the only part of this game and the Vex Mythoclast CAN be earned by everyone through vigorous means.
Shotguns are still OHKO'ing.
Fusion Rifles are still OHKO'ing
But everyone wants to target the Vex Mythoclast because they can't get it, because they don't have the patience or smarts to figure out how to beat the Raid Mode.

Want to know why the VMC is smacking you and making you cry like a baby in Crucible when your SUROS doesn't cut it anymore after you were just spanking some Level 4 with it?
In the Regular Crucible the Level Advantage is Disabled. Thus, only Impact and ROF matter. Your Gear's stats can't pad the Impact from the VMC and you get destroyed. Bottom Line.

My Rebuttal: Stop. Because Hand Cannons, Fusion Rifles, and Shotguns can dish out the same TTK that the Vex can in the given conditions. Learn to outstrafe the damn gun instead of trying to rush out just because you have the SUROS and think you're entitled to a kill in every gun fight. Sick of people wanting to be carried through stuff. I've gotten into gunfights with the VMC and actually felt the competitiveness of the game for once where I had to adapt, rather than trading every kill.

The SUROS and VMC are both EXOTIC and should have the advantage of such. They're to be EARNED guns, not distributed like Green and Blue Engrams.

17 RepliesI have a KD ratio higher than 2 on all three of my characters. I have 13 exotics. 7 of them are weapons. I face VMC every other match in Iron Banner. I face VMC occasionally in regular Crucible. I've used VMC on a friend's account. My Titan has most kills with an auto rifle, shotgun. My Hunter has most kills with hand cannons, sniper rifles. My Warlock has most kills with pulse rifles, fusion rifles. These are my credentials that can be checked quite easily here. I am quite familiar with the mechanics of this game and its weapons. VMC is without any doubt in my mind too strong for PvP. I do not see how completing PvE should give such an overwhelming advantage in PvP. I prefer Bungie games because of the skill requirement and quality of balance they offer. I'm actually quite shocked at the amount of defending such a weapon is getting. Measuring the range (quite far for an auto), the damage (three body shots), the magazine (19 bullets = six kills with one miss) and everything else about the gun, it's clearly the best in the game. There are circumstances that out play it, but there are exceptions to everything. In the general situation of PvP in Destiny, this gun just has too much of an advantage.

Totally agree that the VMC shouldn't be nerfed because the difficulty or effort to get it then you can just go get the suros Regine from xûr which in my opinion is a extremely good gun.Plus I don't see why people would want anything patched in pvp cause you can do horrible and still get exotics you don't have to be good or have a op weapon to get items simply go in crucible and do nothing.

1 ReplyShotguns really haven't OHKO'd for me unless I was on the receiving end of the barrel. Plus i understand you went through Hard mode to get the mythoclause, I feel we should prefer to have separate gear for PvP. PvP and PvE should be separate on all levels.

What's funny is hand cannons can 3 hit kill you (body shots) and do it from a good distance. So they shouldn't of nerfed anything. How often do you go against a VM anyway? Yea a few people have em but I still don't see them often enough to care. I didn't think it needed a buff before I had it and after getting it I really don't think they should of nerfed it in PVE. I love pvp and PVE and hate that the guns get nerfed in both modes. I deserve my op vex. It was what thy deemed a worthy reward for beating hard VoG. Oh well. They won't change it back not even in PVE so we all may as well just give up on mentioning it at all.

Stop trashing the game, the gun harder to get must also be the best and now is useless, nerf Suros and The shotgun, fusion rifles , auto rifles, the hunter , supers are OP, vehicles and snipers. 4 RepliesIn my personal opinion I think this the VMC didn't really need to be nerfed. Went up against a couple people with it in the iron banner and of course the occasionally beat me down with it but if you attacked them with a bit of intellegance then it really didn't show. Now I don't think skill wise they were all that good. The way i see it if you have the skill to get the gun in PvE and kick ass in PvP you have the right to destroy everyone. I was more pissed when i got killed by a Shingen-E than the VMC.

I understand The Vex is hard to get or it was until people started cheesing to get it. The gun was very dominant and regardless of skill or level, anyone without it was at a severe disadvantage. I understand people want their weapons and gear to matter but Destiny PVP isnt like that and hasn't been like that.

1 Replygetting tired of these nerfs... i have the vex i have used it in pvp and yes i agree it was slightly over powered. but this 35% damage reduction is a bit out of line. in pvp you have 2 major options. great accuracy and range with a low mag or a large mag with less accuracy and range. i have used it plenty of times and i have never seen it 3 shot people... not without the damage perk after killing somone. another thing ive noticed is travel time on the bullets. at long distance you can dodge every shot and i know you can because ive done it against someone else using the vex. if you compare it to other fusion rifles the vex can come off second best at close range.. a skilled player will be able to pre charge (around a corner) and fire (generally a 1 shot kill) a normal fusion rifle before the vex can get off 3 shots (witch although is says it has no charge time if you tap the trigger once you will see it has a small charge time) i have traded deaths on many occasions with suros and shingins more than i could count and shotguns well lets not go there. i think a better 'nerf' might have been to tweek the accuracy and recoil. and a slight damage reduction not 35% rendering it to nothing but a stash gun for show. i also think what people are say is to there a just to many crybabies out there... every gun has different characteristics and that's how it should stay.. if your not willing to work for better guns don't whinge about them so that the people who put in the time and effort to get them enjoy them. but as off the patch it seems bungie is just going to follow the trend and just start nerfing everything one by one.

2 RepliesWhy did they also mess with the pocket infinity? It is already kind of a bad un to start with. you have to go through a lot of upgrading just to make the PI a semi good or good gun.? I mean it does not stack up against a weak Fusion Rifle due to charge time.

6 RepliesWTF Bungie? A 34% damage reduction! That's way too much. I only got the weapon yesterday but since it's now going to be useless I might as well dismantle it. People now have no reason to do the raid on hard either, unless you want the helmet but since you can still get to level 30 without it there's no point in doing it.

I swear the people they have that work there remind me of a mix of college frat boys and politicians. They really don't know what they are doing and just randomly make changes that undo something they once had right, don't do anything at all or are just plain stupid. Look at they way Deej answers the posts they choose to answer. Mind you it's post that will not require them to admit they lied, screwed anything up, mislead people or that they would have to put real effort into addressing. He answers them like some immature kid that tries to dazzle you with BS. All this grandstanding and fanboyism over what "leet" and "rad" things they are going to do and all the "noobs" they are gonna crush in the Crucible, all the while drinking a case of Monster. There was an article in Yahoo news where he was asked to address point blank the issue of content being left out, and he said something lame like if there is more to come it isn't his story to tell. Ok what the hell kind of answer was that? Spin factor just like politicians. They all ought to leave gamming and head for Capital Hill. Swindle you out of your money, make a fortune and leave you with nothing to show for it. "Lets have Xur sell weapons that are meant to be rare for next to nothing and then let's take a weapon that is pretty darn hard to get and nerf the hell out of it. How does that sound guys?" "Pass the Monster dude I can barely hear you while I'm crushing these noobs in the Crucible." That is how the "meeting" for the next fix went.

This game is meant to focus on PvE, not PvP, however the vast majority of the community comes from the shooter scene, so if something is strong then people automatically ask for a nerf. The VMC is currently the hardest weapon to acquire, if it's OP then so be it, if you beat something that hard then you should have something to show for it.

1 ReplyHave the vex very over hyped. It's kinda jack of all trades master of none. If you have one you know it's a beast but you also know it's limitations. Mines sitting in my vault right now don't even use it ;) what they need to fix Is the atheon glitch not the gun that way people who actually beat the raid get it, not clowns rushed to the end then knocking him off. Most of all bungie needs to stop listening to the fans they'll complain about anything.

i just wanted to thank all the crybaby whiners for complaining to destiny about the vex mythoclast. and of course i want to thank destiny for making the weapon i spent countless hours trying to get completely useless now. keep nerfing all the good weapons and no one will play anymore. this is just the beginning of destinys failure. oh yeah and for all of you haters...if you worked your ass off for this gun and got it you wouldnt be complaining then would you.

5 RepliesIt's not that idiotic actually once in a crucible match me and my friend walked into a room and we immediately died by two vex mythoclasts and now that's starting to happen more because more and more people are getting oh, and u said u have to earn it? My friend just had to join some people doing it on hard on atheon and they pushed him off and my friend was awarded mythoclast for doing nothing
