All we do now is read literature and write about it. If I want to go into architecture, HOW DOES A FOUR PAGE ESSAY ON A TALE OF TWO CITIES HELP ME?!?!?!?!?!
Seriously, I have done almost nothing as far as grammar is concerned since middle school, so what's the point? Should high school English classes be optional? Sure, I'm pretty good at the class, I just find it to be very boring and obnoxious.
What do you guys think?

English class is made to help practice writing. The meaning of the essays themselves are very pointless, but the only reason they have you do it is so you can write more coherently, with minimal grammatical errors. Reason being is because school is one of the only places they can force you to write, as most people choose not to write outside of school, not developing any writing skills. Not saying that you have that issue at all. I'm only stating my feelings towards English class.
