Suros is the best primary weapon for Raiding/PvE/PvP and one exotic limit is lackluster.
There is nothing that can outclass the Suros in accuracy/damage in any of the game modes while being ammo efficient. And why is there a limit on exotics? This is a game that we grind to get loot, albeit very catering to the "casual" gamer base, but we are limited to wonky gear setups to use these "exotics" that we tried hard to get. Why is this still in place?

It can't keep up with agile movement which I take advantage of with the Atheons Epilogue. Ice Breaker will out DPS any gun on bosses, it's non requirement for ammo and HUGE firepower kinda obsoletes it.

1 ReplyHahaha, you sure are a ridiculous one, aren't you? Guns are only a part of the overall package and Suros is no where near the top of the list. I have many legendary guns when coupled with the right gear load out, out-DPS the Suros any day of the week. Take my Armamentarium wearing Stiker Titan for instance. I have other gear that maxes out my dicipline, giving me 100% grenade refresh, TWO lightening grenades and a Badger CCL with Grenadier and Outlaw. I pop off 1 grenade every 30 seconds or less, coupled with one of the hardest most accurate scouts out there... Suros can't even compete!

2 RepliesDuring hard Crota fight, Red Death is better. Abyss Defiant is also good on the hive specifically due to hive disruptor. On voidwalkers with obsidian mind during ROC/stories, Bad JuJu is better than Suros. There's two situations where pulse rifles, of all things, are better. So you cannot definitively say that Suros is better than anything else in all situations. The only one I would say Suros is above and beyond the competition is Crucible. During the Abyss in CE, Fatebringer is better. No Land Beyond is better for heavy glitch on CE. There's probably a ton of other examples I could think of.

I think that's situational. I use mine a lot on patrol and the first part of many of the strikes. There are other exotics that work better in different situations, Plan C to take down Omnigul's Shield, Gjallarhorn when you have one thing that needs to die fast, Icebreaker for any bullet sponge that you can keep at a distance. Bad Juju's string of curses on the first part of Crota is hard to beat as well. There is no one exotic for every situation. I don't do PVP much so I have no idea what's best in that.

I love Suros, but if you don't upgrade it keeps the high RoF which is better for PVP, but I have to say MIDA does much better

3 RepliesAuto rifles are outclassed by hand cannons and scout rifles in PvE. Also, the exotic limit exists so people can't have Gjallarhorn, Ice Breaker, and the Vex Mythoclast equipped at the same time. It's not a hard concept to understand.

Atm suros is my go to weapon for pve. Once i get a primary with an elemental on it suros is getting benched. As for pvp any legendary ar (not counting dr nope or ars like that one) wins when both players are ads'ing.

I'll stick to my maxed out Atheon's Epilogue/Plan C. My Suros is just collecting dust.

7 RepliesUmmmm My Auto Scout Rifle with Solar damage is far superior to the Suros. I have a fully upgraded Suros that I have had for weeks and my Auto Scout outclasses it in every aspect of PvE.

There is a rare shingen-e with an outrageous fire rate, good stability and a decent impact that will absolutely murc the Suros any day of the week, every time. This gun is not all that. Also, I have two different Shadow Prices, one which favors range over stability but grows in stability the longer it's fired which will take it down. Again, this gun is not all that it's made out to be. The people saying it is have yet to wield it.

3 RepliesAs a loyal follower of the skill and precision needed to use a 6 shot hand cannon( Thorn), I must say I hate this gun. Not only is it painfully overpowered in PVP, everybody over level 20 is now running around with it thanks to Xur.

A guy with all exotics will shatter the ground he walks upon.... We don't need that just yet in pvp and the AI's would probably start committing sueacid at the sight of such a foe.

3 RepliesAmmo efficiency is worthless 99% of the time, primary ammo is everywhere. Plus it's output is slow and steady, which is a massive disadvantage in pve. This praetorians need to die and they need to die now! Plus it sounds like it should be shooting marshmallows or cotton balls, not bullets.

2 RepliesEdited by Bearded Eagle: 10/3/2014 5:13:55 AMI personally love my dr nope. Thing is a bullet chainsaw, just cuts enemies to shreds. Plus with extended mag I get 84 rounds. Then wear armor to increase ammo carry amount and nearly have 1k rounds total. And the perk bottom half of mag does extra damage. The gun is just beast.
