Just curious to see what other members of the community think about the current Earth maps in the crucible.
Personally, I feel that they are either close or close-mid range with no locations to even attempt using longer weapons (yes, I'm talking to you Queen's bounties). In my experience this results in the match being primarily fought with shotguns, fusion rifles, heavy weapons, or for the honorable amongst us, melee (no, arcblade DOES NOT count as honorable you dirty hunter ;p). All in all, I consistently find myself more frustrated on these maps than any others. What about you?

I tend to snipe on them, they don't have to be close quarters... also I tend to use my primary most of the time, even in cqb. It's all about knowing how to play and be consistently awesome.

I agree with this. All the maps feel ill suited for precision weapons (excluding the hand cannons) except the really big ones, and even those are underwhelming for good sniper positions. You can tell the company that brought you Call of Duty had a few of their suggestions taken into account on that part. But it's really not just Earth, there's at least one of these maps on each playable planet. Venus has Asylum. Mercury has The Burning Shrine. Mars has Firebase Delphi. The moon has The Anomaly. Most of these are designed to be cqc maps, which sucks because I personally always played big team battle in Halo 3 and Reach.
