How much should the shotguns be nerfed? Should they even be touched?
Any of the oldschool here might remember the shotgun in Halo 2 was useless if the enemy was 3 feet away. If I remember right it didn' t even do damage from 10 feet or so. All this shotgun nerfing was done because of the godlike Halo CE shotgun. Please don't let history reapeat itself here. I don't want this to happen to shotguns in pve and I'm divided about it in pvp.
I think it would be a good idea to have them do a damage reduction or .60% after 3 feet. Thats just a ruff nerf I can think of at the moment.

Halo 1 shotguns were always so-so for me, they were always good at clearing carriers in campaign (they were a one shot at any range against those things, it was always odd), but I think the Halo Reach/Halo 4 shotguns are king.
