3 feet is a ridiculous idea. At that point a double melee would be your best option. The shotguns are perfectly fine as they are. The only gun that needs a buff in my opinion are pulse rifles.

Pulse Rifles are fine for me, my best weapon for PvP, doubt they need a buff!
