Solo'd them all! Pretty simple when you know where the shielded enemies attack en mass! Does anyone here know if actually completing them adds any to Queens rank! Or is that just from the actual bounties?
-
yes. this was how I was completing them until they took away the shards, not really any point in them now (well I don't see the point as I only did them for the shards)
-
Yes! The gate lord mission is the easiest to do solo cause you can snipe everything
-
Only do Restoration. Fastest mission. It might take a few reloads to get it, but I figure in the long run its saves more time than taking it slow trying to beat the others. Bring a solar fusion rifle for the shields and an arc heavy for the boss. I'm kind of a pansy.
-
I soloed a few of them, but now there's no motivation to
-
I've solo'd them all but then i stopped doing them once Bungie took the Shards away.
-
Solo'd all of mine so far except the black garden. You just need weapons / abilities that correspond to the burn applied. Failing that, all legendary and an exotic weapon really help. Just take the missions really slow, be methodical, and it's possible. Of course it's a lot more awesome in a group.
-
Yeah cosmodrome.
-
It's certainly possible if I can do it, you can.
-
Keep launching it until the cosmodrome mission comes. It's super fast and when you get to the boss you just hang back in the room before his area and and take the enemies out.

Edited by Displace: 10/1/2014 2:07:36 PMI solo'd the one that is the second mission and the one on the moon. Buy a couple of those ammo replenishment thingies just in case and have a weapon to take care of the enemies weaknesses as said below.
-
1) Use the damage type that gets a boost modifier 2) Try to stay in the back and snipe 3) Take it slow and try to take out enemies one at a time
-
Yea I got the black garden and it wasn't too bad, I pretty much solo everything that doesn't have matchmaking except VoG, weekly challenge on lvl 28, an Nightfall
-
yes 2 times thats all i need to do to get the stuff
-
If your on 360 i can run em with you have 6 or bounties saved up
-
I have many times. I'd do them now but there's really no point seeing as I don't need the armour and I can't get ascendant shards from them anymore.
-
Yeah...a lot. I've done gate keeps head, the restoration level, the level with the huge green knight, each multiple times
-
I soloed all 4 or 5 of mine today at lvl 25. It's definitely doable. Just make sure you pay attention to what weaknesses the enemies have and use a weapon that deals that kind of damage.
-
Soloable yes but some can be very hard, my strategy is to keep starting the mission until I get restoration, that one takes 10 mins max and IMO is the easiest to solo.
-
Yes It can be soloed. I soloed the black garden. But be prepared to die about 39 times. (The exact amount of times I died during black garden, I was level 24 I think)
-
I done them all solo, got the sniper rifle on the last one... Slow and steady ;)
-
Just use weapons based on the modifiers and take it slow.
-
I solo'd all of the Queen's wrath kill orders until they nerfed the ascendant shards thingy. Just take it slow, keep to cover and have gear of the appropriate element. Lastly, kill ALL the snipers. Now, I don't even bother doing them because there are no perks in doing them anymore. The least they could do is provide reputation for the Queen. But noOoOoOoOo~...
-
I have done some. Certain ones I can not do solo. Namely the black garden. Its just impossible with a hunter. The final boss one shots you.

Edited by General_Nonsence: 9/28/2014 3:59:28 AM[EDIT: this post assumes you can get to the boss fight] killing riksis I can do consistantly. ignore any minions that aren't a big threat. Bring a fire special weapon and it's a pretty easy fight. the other one i think i can solo is the shrine mission on the moon. Bring an Arclight special. kill the knights and thralls ignore the accolites unless they grow to many in number. what to bring: bring a rocket launcher preferably with mulligan and clown cartridge the basic strat: farm spawns for rocket ammo fire rockets into the boss's face repeatedly. why this works: minions spawn continuously through out the entire fight you will never have time to put sustained DPS on the boss which means you need massive alpha damage a rocket provides this in spades. you want to spend as much time as possible cutting down swaths of minions so they don't overwhelm you and as little time as possible killing the boss. mulligan and clown cartridge are important because you are going to need as much launcher ammo as possible clown cartridge will occasionally spawn an extra rocket in the chamber and mulligan has a chance to return missed rockets to you. glossery of terms: DPS - damage per second alpha - damage per bullet for an example of the rocket launcher in question, look at the heavy slot on my titan. it is worth mentioning that I did this with a defender class titan, less well armored classes may encounter trouble. also I didn't have my exotic primary or any legendary armor at the time I did it so if you don't have them don't worry about it. as low as a rare caliber weapon and armor worked for me (fully upgraded)
