What was the point of allowing only three players to a game? Doing patrol missions and missions in general should be six players at least. I don't see why it wasn't implemented from the beginning.
You guys at bungie knew a lot of people was going to buy this game , yet you limit us to 3 players and left us looking at our friends lists wondering why I can't play this game with all of my friends. Not every likes crucible ( I hate it btw , so unbalanced ) so don't expect everyone to play it.
You have the nightfall strike which allows 6 players ......... -___- . A simple solution to the player count could have been ..... Hmm maybe a harder difficulty according to the amount of players you have. For example, hard for 3 players, very hard for 4 , impossible for 6.
I feel it's just not fair to force us to choose 2 people out of the tons of people who have the game across friends lists.

1. Mostly all MMO games only allow 3 members in a team, so there wont be a disbalance of enemies via player loot drops. 2. 3 players in a party because, on the front cover they're are 3 guardians. 3. Why not 6? Raid is for many players defeating a huge boss, mission or strike only needs 3 players. If you need 6 players for a mission your fireteam must be trash... 4. Not enough stabilization in a system to contain 6 players in a fireteam in a multi social area. If there was 6 in a fireteamthere would be more disconnections and troubleshooting to the host and you'd complain about that. 5. Only a maximum of 9 players can be in a area at once, if you had a fireteam of 6 there will have to be a bigger server that has to contain 6 of a party, 500 Million $ for server usage, bungie would had to pay extra for something like that, 32 players in area?! Enemies wouldnt have a chance to spawn anymore and the game would lag alot. 6. 16 is a max of players as in the tower, there has to be a even amount of players in a area, consists of fire team only 3 in a area. Hope this helps.
