Why choose a faction over Crucible/Vanguard rank?
I finally got my first Legendary Item and its just a damn cape that sais it will apply my reputation for crucible and vanguard towards the FWC reputation. So I need to know why I should start working for faction reputations over the other two if i should at all. Thanks in advance.

Is finding a legendary piece of gear for that faction the only way to earn reputation for them?

At the moment the highest rank needed for each faction is rank 3 you could do what I did and just buy class items for all factions rank it up to rank 3 then move onto the next one that way you have access to all faction items if you ever wanted to switch out weapons and armour plus each time I hit rank 3 I got giving legendary engrams so it's worth while doing it that way

Factions are faster to level and they don't give you engrams, they give you legendary items (legendary materials/armour/weapons).

1 ReplyWeapons and armour have different perks. Find the ones u want and rank those up. I did a combo of new monarchy and vanguard to get the weapons and armour combo that best suited me.

Each faction focuses on two stats, so if you want to max two you go for the faction with them on their armour. If you want the bonuses spread, stay with vanguard/crucible rep.

I feel as though vanguard is just a faction and if you level up all 4 then you can mix and match armor and weapons to fit your play style

10 RepliesBecause it is faster to level a faction than Vanguard and crucible at the same time... And u get a random legendary weapon from that faction once u reach rank 3.
