And i think Joe is absolutely right. There are so many aspects of the game where destiny is as good as we would expect from bungie, but the story doesn't even start before the end credits roll. They totally sold us an incomplete game, with a DLC card in the package. I defended bungie wherever i could when people said the activision alliance isn't a good idea, but look what they have done. Do you guys think they planned on shipping the game with this introduction story to destiny in mind? Do you really think they thought this would be enough? I don't.

While I am having fun with certain aspects of the game, as a whole, I feel let down. I'm not a Bungie fanboy. I didn't play Halo. While I won't argue that it made its mark in gaming history, it wasn't for me. I bought this game based on what a seasoned developer over promised and quite frankly, under delivered. From everything they've preached over the course of driving this game I, like so many others, expected this huge storyline that will drive this game for 10 years. But, where's the story? It sure as hell is not in the game. There's so much promise and potential at every turn, every nook and cranny searched, only to find NOTHING. You want lore and history that you expect to find while searching the wastelands of the cosmodrome? Nope. Go HERE and READ THE -blam!-ING GRIMOIRE BECAUSE -blam!- YOU!!! Why do I have to disconnect myself from THE -blam!-ING GAME to go on the website or app to READ ABOUT THE -blam!-ING GAME I WANT TO BE PLAYING? You cannot legitimately argue with me that nearly all the content in the grimoire shouldn't have been scattered around the worlds in Destiny. If you even try, you're a sheep, blindly following Bungie. I won't reiterate any more of my problems, as the link above pretty much sums it up anyways. Joe is spot on in a lot of areas. Though I would go further and say the PVP is completely ruined by the client side hit detection and makes it nearly unplayable. When you melee a guy and are watching the kill feed to see that same guy take 5 steps and die FROM YOUR MELEE ATTACK?!?! Yeah, broken. And we have this shit in a 6v6? I'd rather play Battlefield 4!!! (And I've for 1000 hours in it). As I said, I am having fun with this game but, it is not what I expected based on the information given. Sure, you can argue that "this is only the beginning" or "it's the first part of a story in a series", but you're only fooling yourselves and obviously not very well versed in story telling. Go and read a series of books or watch a trilogy or anthology of movie and tell me that the first movie does not have a start, a middle and a finish. You cannot (unless the series is just completely shit) because ANY story or series that is GOOD and WELL WRITTEN has those three things in each part. It's a fundamental element of writing a good, engaging story. For $90 -blam!-ing dollars I expect a goddamn novel of a first act, not the -blam!-ing foreword. /rant
