Nice but where do we get increasingly better light armour???

Okay here's the trick you can get to 29 with purples and one exotic to get to 30 you need to have done the raid enough to get the raid legendaries

Blues at level 20 max at 15 light then you need Purples which I believe maxes at 27 And with one exotic which maxes at 33 I believe you can get 120. (purple and exotic might be off 1 or 2 light) Now you just need to upgrade them all to get that. Everytime you upgrade the defense upgrade you get more light. I recommend playing the queens bounties right now with friends to get 2 legendary at least

Exotics only have 30 light when they're maxed. You need to have raid gear to reach level 30

That's the question isn't it? There are guaranteed ways: the Vanguard, Crucible, the Factions and now the Queen. Otherwise it's all luck hunting in the wilds. Best of luck though.
