HUD transparency options needed please!
Especially for those of us with plasmas. Would love the option to make the HUD more transparent, or even switch off.
My plasma does not like the ability and gun icons in the lower left corner. :(
It stops me from having longer game sessions since I worry about possible burn in.
Would really help out a lot of us if this can be patched in an update.

Bumping, this is really needed in game like Destiny, where You're spending a lot of hours... It's a shame that option like this isn't in the game from the start.

Bungie, your paid customers are looking for a response? Your worrying about fallout from The taken king announcement. How about the thousands of players you alienated by not creating a simple opacity/transparency patch for the HUD. It looks real bad when you were told this was a problem at Beta, you did nothing, released the game, people realized that only your game causes damage to their tvs on a wide scale, and now over a year nothing has been done. Your worried about losing players over the taken King? You have lost tens of thousands due to not listening to your fanbase and fixing a simple, bad design HUD. Please respond to our input and fix this issue before anything else and you will be shocked how many more people will be playing again.

Let's go bungie. All this talk about the changes and house of wolves and you have lots of people out there who want to play your game but won't until a simple transparency patch is created. What is the holdup?

Same here. Vt60 with retained super bar and hand rifle. Thankfully it has gotten better after 5 weeks of no destiny and running the screen wipe for an hour each evening. Will not touch the game until transparency settings or parts of the HUD optioned to be removed. It's a joke that they can't even update if this will ever be patched.

Same problem here. Got a 50" GT60 and have had to stop playing due to the super bar and gun icon leaving bad image retention.

Please, give us opacity/transparency sliders or options for HUD. An option to selectively turn off HUD elements would also be great. Many people game on their plasma TVs, so I am puzzled that these settings are not in the game. I have Panasonic plasma, and I already noticed image retention from the game's HUD. I love the game, and I bought Limited Edition, but I refuse to mess up my high end plasma, so I sadly will not be playing this game much until this issue is sorted out. :(

Same issue here with vt60! Wish bungie would make a fix for this! It's making me hesitant to play more destiny....

Probably one of the more sensible threads on here, good idea. Although it'll probably have to be on or seethrough for everyone or the precious thread -blam!-rs will moan about exploiting in the Crucible or something.

To those with some image retention already, run the anti-retention feature for... and this sounds crazy... about an hour. It went away in my Panasonic. Also, using a computer to display a rotating color wheel can help from what I've read.

Dito on this problem. I have a £3K 65" Panasonic VT. I love my TV and could not replace it now, even if I wanted to as they are no longer made. Bungie, please listen to your customers and provide a HUD transparency option asap as the persistent, vibrant, bright icons are damaging our screens. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this! I love your game but you are damaging my hardware.

I feel bad, didn't know you could search for previous topics. I'm having the same issues and it may already be too late. I'm not playing this game until something is fixed as my TV is worth a lot of money. Thankfully it's covered under extended warranty the only problem is they don't have as much on the market for Plasma's right now.

Another one here with a nice hud burn in on a zt65 :(… I'm off this game until Bungie does something about it. If you search the net, you'll find reports of people complaining about this after the beta, I can't believe Bungie just ignored it...

Yes, same problem here. I have a nice super bar and primary weapon IR on a 55VT60. Please i beg add a HUD transparency options. Till then im playing on a 22 Benq monitor lol.

and custom sizing colors. grey doesnt get my attention until its to late. or monitoring my allies health and super coldown
