so does anyone other than me actually LIKE destiny?
So im seeing alot of hate threads but the problem is the game is fine the only problem i have is bungies false promises.
I LOVE this game to death but i wish bungie wouldnt have overhyped it :/
Im still gonna buy all the DLC and expansion after 1 and 2 though (got LE)
So hbu guys? Was anyone smart enough to go into this game without the hyped expectations and like it

2 RepliesI'm loving it. I think people's expectations were some were they shouldn't have been. Don't know why though. Beta was free and open, and perfectly representative of what the game turned out to be.

Love it, but its a game you should take your time with. Do some missions, some crucibles, some strikes, some story again, read the grimoire a bit ( it's great) play some more. Don't treat it as a regular game or you're gonna complainlike the vocal minority

This game rocks my world harder than a boulder crashing onto my head. And it's more addicting than a bag of chips. while i'm here may as well see if anyone wants to join "The Dragoneers"

I think part of the problem is people expect Destiny to be this type of game, or that type of game, and humans cannot help but compare things to previous experiences, it is in our nature. However, when people forget that COD pissed them off when they first started playing, until they got good, and then they sucked at Reach when it first came out, but then people got better and had fun...War never changes....you suck until you don't suck, and if you suck it's not as much fun, but when you don't suck it's a lot of fun.... Enjoy the game for the experience and adventure it provides, or don't....either way I'm still laughing my ass off dancing on top of a dead spider tank...

4 RepliesI love the core of the game. The mechanics are solid and the foundation is as good as any game I have seen. The game itself is dabbles in several different areas, but it is a master of none. This is the same as most MMO type games when they first launch. My prediction is Bungie will add more content, more patches, and more elements to the core of the game. However they won't do it fast enough, so the player base will drop off within a month. Once the third/fourth DLCs roll out, the game will be fleshed out more and provide more polish. This will attract people back to the game and at which point Bungie will prepare to roll out Destiny 2. This happened with WoW, Rift, Guild Wars, SWTOR, etc. So those who are willing to stay with the game, will be the founders and masters. So take heart in that fact.

My internet is fine tho :-( . But I mean it hasn't been out long enough to judge it. Gotta wait for the patches to start rolling out. Does suck not being able to play crucible tho lol

I love it, the gameplay is fantastic and incredibly smooth. I do get the gripes with the main campaign, but other than I seriously enjoy it. I just tend to stay away from the whiners, so that's why I won't be seen defending the game in this forum, because why spend time defending the game when I could just play the game?

1 ReplyNot just you man, I'm really enjoying this game. I'll agree it was a little over hyped, but I didn't let all the hype get to me. While I have yet to do many of them, I love the Strikes. I haven't had this kind of intense experience fighting AI since the days of ODST's Firefight.

Myself as well as everyone I play with loves the game. None of us find it to be a let down in any way. I don't know about these 'false promises', but I usually don't hold to every little thing said as I know how it is creating things like this. Sometimes you have to make changes that you didn't see coming. Sometimes thing will get added that you had no idea would fit in. Its how any creation is, be it games, movies, or even cooking. Sometimes when making something new you expect something and later realize it will be different. But the end product is all that matters, and I find this one to be phenomenal.

"I LIKE,.. IT.. ALOT" ~Llyod Christmas impersonating Forrest Gump. but seriously .... i do. I'm excited to see Bungie react to the attacks on the weak story and mythos. I'm excited to see the last city develop and new events/alliances/goals be added. I'm excited to see if the community really bands together to create vast armies of Guardians via Alliances to have "Brag'n Rights" matches in the Crucible. I'm excited for new and upgraded vehicles. I'm excited for even more game modes in the future ... perhaps someday we'll see which Guardians are natural pilots vs. ground soldiers. I'm excited to see if Bungie implements a more ROLE PLAYING feel to exploring and mission/quests. Pretty pumped for the next 24 hrs .... we will be able to step foot inside our first RAID .... errr if we can figure out how to get the door open that is .... O.O,y,,

You see a lot of hate on the threads because all the people who love the game are busy actually playing the game while all the haters don't have Call of Duty: Advanced Map Pack to play yet and decide to log on and attack Destiny even though they haven't even played it.
