so does anyone other than me actually LIKE destiny?
So im seeing alot of hate threads but the problem is the game is fine the only problem i have is bungies false promises.
I LOVE this game to death but i wish bungie wouldnt have overhyped it :/
Im still gonna buy all the DLC and expansion after 1 and 2 though (got LE)
So hbu guys? Was anyone smart enough to go into this game without the hyped expectations and like it

This game needs vehicles and an offline mode with Theater, Custom Crusible, and Forge. Then this game would be perfect.

I love it! Let me put it to you this way, I'm level 24 and I've yet to step foot in venus. I'm having a blast going from the vanguard strike list to the pvp playlist.

1 ReplyI like it a lot.... I just wish it wasn't so repetitive... I wish it had all the combat options and approaches it had the Halo franchise and more. I wish it had more stealth options, stealth kill animations... Smoke bombs, sentry turrets, more mission variety and randomised enemy placement on the maps.

2 RepliesI definitely like the game. A little bit of a "meh" ending to the story, but come on, there's an actual campaign, there's multiplayer, and there's the MMO elements all in one (strikes/raids). That's more variety than most games offer.

However, I do wish the world was a bit more open to explore and there was more to the story.

I like Destiny and I have a lot of fun with it, there's just a lot that was done terribly. The campaign is garbage, which is surprising coming from the studio that built one of the best fictional universes of all time. Winning in the crucible is based less on tactical team play and more on which team can out-cheese the other team. The classes are seriously unbalanced; Warlocks are way overpowered and Hunters are way underpowered. The open world parts are repetitive as hell.

In all honesty, I love it. the story plot actually engages me, yeah it's a little on the short side for 60$ game release +an additional 35$~40$ expansion pass, but I can see it has a ton of potentianal at just not being another CoD or Halo Clone. It feels like it's own unique thing.

I really enjoy it. Its not a perfect 5/5 or 10/10, but its really good. I just think impatience and unreasonable expectations are why a lot of the people who do not like it, don't.

I am so with you!! This game is just absolutely addicting and amazing. People don't realize that this is the first game in a new IP so there's bound to be problems. However, the series will grow and the next Destiny entries will be Next-Gen exclusive so the future of Destiny looks even brighter than it already is!! Congrats bungie on your new franchise.

I like it. I've not overplayed the ever loving shit out of it like most people, so I still feel like I have so much to do. We aren't even at a week, so I can't imagine everyone has done or found everything, thus no one is legend yet. I suggest everyone find a good clan, get a headset, and enjoy some of the social elements this game has to offer. See you star side!

Its like playing DCUOxHaloxMass Effect all in one. More DLC's in the near future, little upgrades here and there. I love MMO's so im use to the grind. Destiny should have gotten 9/10 IMO. Oh! and btw...I play this on a 60" LG Plasma. I highly recommend playing this game on screens 50"+.

I feel like it's about what I expected. Shorter campaign than I had hoped, story could've been better so far, and it's REALLY easy to get levels and gear. However, the game JUST dropped, A LOT of content is coming already, and I got RL friends to play with. I love the game as it stands and I am positive it will grow on me as more content comes to us. I played the BETA, and it delivered what I expected from that and then some. You're not gonna please everybody and everybody expected WAY more than was there. These are most likely the people the didn't play BETA, OR just bought it because people talked about without even watching gameplay videos.

Love it, you will always get the whiners making the most noise. For every one of them, you have 1000 in game having a great time. Destiny isn't perfect, but it is fun and that is what counts!

Yeah it's strange. After the beta you'd think people would have known what to expect. It's not like Bungie hid anything. It was right there. Why buy a game you didn't like? Mind boggles. I loved the beta and wanted more. Can't wait to get back on once the kids are in bed :)

Just complaints from the lonely people who wanted to play campaign. Not really the basis for the game and not really where Bungie wanted it's strength to be. The multiplayer options remind me so much of classics like Quake (The jumping with sniper rifles is so nostalgic), Halo for its vehicles, and Borderlands for it's leveling/growth feature (sans its colorful characters regretfully). I understand the hatred for DLC, because who wants to buy the same game five times, but in the same respect, how many of these same people bought every single Call of Duty sequel to go on and totally ignore the campaigns? Love this game, I see the "campaign" as a simple way to make your character stronger out of the crucible, and I can't wait to see what the future of it brings.

2 RepliesI'm loving it. I think people's expectations were some were they shouldn't have been. Don't know why though. Beta was free and open, and perfectly representative of what the game turned out to be.
