I expected the worst out of this game when it was announced while still being salty over Reach, and loads of my other friends hyped the game up. We both played the Beta, I preordered and they canceled theirs. :D Funny how that works. But to answer your question, I am loving the game right now. :D

I'm glad to see people not aboard "the hype train to hell" unlike those jokes of Gaming media "critics" I wish you well...
-
This game easily pisses me off, but I physically can't stop playing it. I truly do love this game.
-
Enjoying every minute of this game. Looking forward to the future of this game
-
I love this game
-
I do and I am actually playing it on the 360 and one. Pretty cool
-
I went in with maximum hype overdrive active, and I was not disappointed. I love Destiny, and I simply cannot wait to see what Bungie has in store for its future.
-
You are not alone Guardian.
-
Loving it too. No hate here.
-
This game is the best ever and I can't sop playing it
-
Definitely love
-
I'd give it a solid 8...I like it a lot and I'm having a blast playing it so far. I think a lot of the negativity comes from kids who weren't alive and playing video games in the 80's with the gameplay and graphics...I remember those days and I love my games now...

i honestly dont think it was overhyped, it has met every expectation ive had, and left me in awe many many times. and for the people who complain about lack of story or depth, all i have to say is, Grimoire, its more than a score :)

I love this game. I ran a test. I didn't pay attention to much of the info that bungee was giving prior to release. I avoided the forums. I knew I was always going to get the game and now that I have it I love it. Usually I grasp all info and any video I can get about a game before it comes out. And usually by the time the game launches the game fails me. However this is not the case with destiny. I absolutely love it.
-
I've got 52 hours logged into this game so far. What do you think?
-
I LOVE everything about it. And can't stop playing it. (At least until I get disconnected)
-
I like it just fine, just nowhere near the depth I wanted.
-
game is fantastic. Some growing pains to be sure, regardless it's a world-class shooter and am having a blast
-
Bungie didn't overhype it, it was the fans that did that.

I came in super-hyped and have not been disappointed. I think most of complaints I have seen is things like not enough content, or not enough story telling. Okay, I will admit i would like more story-telling, but what people have to realize is that Destiny is an online game that plans to expand and last for ten years. You are not going to get all the goodies at once. Look at the events for this month and you will see that there is a bunch of stuff still being added. bungie is giving us little shots of the game at a time so we can keep interested enough to wait and see what comes next. This is typical for most online games, I think that most console gamers are not used to this format. They want instant gratification, like " GIVE ME GIVE ME, NOW, NOW!" Destiny is meant to be a long term adventure , so the best advice i can give is sit back and enjoy the ride. PS there has also been a complaint going around that there is not enough social options. I would say that I do somewhat agree with this. you should be able to form impromptu parties for people you meet on the fly and there should be a chat option that lets you use text and voice with people in the same fireteam that can be turned on or off depending on personal preference or something that expands on clan options to give people more reason to join a clan. like tracking clanmates or enabled trading or loot sharing with fellow clanmates. These are just some suggestions that i have, but ultimately they are just suggestions and even if they aren't implemented I am still quite happy with this game.

I'm in the same boat for the most part. Fortunately I didn't jump on they hype train, learned my lesson a while ago, never to trust large company PR spin, let alone game companies.
-
I'm lovin it, far better than defiance in my opinion it's got me hooked
-
Love it. Ne'er posted or had a negative opinion of it
-
love it man. Addicted

I must admit, I wasn't buying into the hype at all before the release of this game. I never played the beta, didn't reserve it, I still haven't even paid for any of the DLC that's to be released down the road. All I seen was a shooter that looked something like halo and I had so many questions and thought the game would be stupid. It wasn't until a day after the release that a coworker came to me and told me how fun the game was and I picked it up that same day when I got off. I can't put the controller down because I love it so much! Even when I'm not playing and have free time I'm on the app like now reading and responding to threads. I can't see how so many people on here hate the game but I think it's largely due to the hype that was put out before the release. It was the opposite for me though, thought it was going to be dumb and I actually enjoy it. I'm looking forward to seeing the expansions and where the game goes from here For anyone reading this add me on ps4: polo_infamous

I love this game. As many others have noted, I am disappointed with the story, but the actual game is amazing.
