I mean why???? Its little much. I expected them to nerf it, but seriously. Wow.
Edit: i wasn't expecting this to get so popular.
First of all thank you for my first popular post.
Second, lets get this too bungie!!!!!
Edit: if your looking for a clan we have a great one, its called: Strength 0f the wolf
The o in of is a zero

I'm gonna be "that guy" here, because I've never been a huge PvP player. But whenever you try to balance a game mechanic around what effect it has on PvP...well, THIS happens. If this was solely in PvE, I would bet my lunch money they wouldn't have bothered. So now the folks (like me) who prefer PvE are going to have our primary damage-dealer nerfed to near uselessness because the FOTM was melting faces back in beta. Nice.
-
It is very ridiculous
-
Buff to about 70% effectiveness?
-
If the hunters get a grenade that chases people then the vortex grenade isn't bad. They needed it too much and didn't nerf the hunter grenade.
-
Vortex grenades are so bad now in PvP. They can still walk through them and take you on. A small nerd was needed, not this
-
Definitely agree with this.
-
I think a Nerf was definitely necessary but not 50% that's way too high
-
Isn't it only the DoT that's been reduced? the initial blast is still as strong
-
I think a Nerf was definitely necessary but not 50% that's way too high
-
One of them (vortex I think) was definitely OP in the beta.
-
Yeah I remember on story mission, lvl 4 the grenade doing a bit more. Was it really dropped 50%?
-
Lol the vortex grenade was way to powerful. Every time I saw it, it struck fear in me
-
Cause its OP...
-
I think that's fine. I'm still pissed that they nerfed the interceptor. That's my only complaint with the whole game. Can't wait for it, 4 hours to go
-
You can't control, what you can't control.
-
The heretics always get it the worst.
-
Warlocks were OP to begin with. Im a Hunter and in PvP im always getting sucked into a void or ground slammed by titans. About time they evened the playing field.
-
Is it all grenades or just vortex? Cause next to the hunter's "wall of death" they were kinda OP
-
I don't mind, I never used it as a lethal weapon, I use it to shut off doorways and routes. If people want to use it to kill I'm sure the other versions of it will work better (assuming we're talking about its effectiveness in the crucible).
-
I felt like in the beta it seemed like luck when I killed someone. I mean enemies can just wait or walk around it. It's a stationary grenade, not an overpowered explosive grenade. It's just strategic!
-
I thought the warlocks nade was the shitiest nade in the beta.
-
I think they need the auto rifles a little too much too. I agree it should be but not to this degree.
-
Edited by Nostradominus: 9/9/2014 9:59:32 AMIf they changed it due to stats and if they hit it too hard with the nerf bat then they will change it back. They looked at the stats to make the change. They do want balance.
-
It was dealing way too much damage. As long as you are caught in the initial blast, you have like only 2 seconds to get out of the aoe or else you'll be dead. Even just by running through the affected area, the linger damage will bring your guardian's health to critical, that's how much damage it generates compare to Hunter or Titan's nade.
-
stupid nerf - warlock powers suck now
-
Patch isn't that bad. Wonder what their reasoning was for nerfing scout rifles though. That's my favorite gun type beside snipers. :/
