Sony hates folks like me that live on the East coast. Because of that I'm only going to purchase one more digitally and that's DAI.
The order 1886 lol that i will buy from gamestop. Beat it and trade that bleep in. Until Sony changes it's digital download policy for East cost gamers I'm done with pre order digital downloads.

It's not just the East Coast. The game will be live for people who have a physical copy mid-day or so on Monday no matter where they live from what I am seeing. So for getting a digital copy, you get to be denied access for something like 18 hours. 3 hours I wouldn't say much about. 18 hours is another story altogether.

Thats what I'VE been saying! EVERYONE waiting till 12:01 PST was fine, ANYONE getting in TWENTY hours sooner, thats not so cool. Destiny is my first, and now, my LAST digital download. p.s. to all the ppl saying that those of us that ordered digital are jist lazy, I'd like to say that, the server times being what they are, I almost feel cheated out of the AWESOME release party. Just sayin

Sony should release the digital downloads based on region times. I live on the east coast that would be 12:00AM EST. You live on the west coast go by that time zone,central time etc. Until Sony changes it's policies with the time zones release time no more pre order digital downloads.

If it is a 'release street date' problem then I would completely agree that it would make sense to have it locked to each time zone, but there is a lack of explanation as far as I am aware. Also I totally agree that this will make me skip any future digital downloads that have a physical release in the future. I would have liked (a) to have a physical copy and (b) to have gotten the Gamestop Red Sparrow exclusive. I went digital because I thought it would be less hassle, but if I have to wait until 2:00 a.m. (I'm central time) then that would have been plenty of time to go to the store (5 minutes up the street) and get a copy at midnight. No way it would take 2 hours for me to check out if I already pre-paid for it.

I totally agree with everything you said lol. I'm not going to stay up until 3:00AM EST. I took some vacation time from work so i decided to visit my mom and will play Destiny in the morning. I hope i see you in game so we can kill some darkness be blessed.
