I quite enjoy the series as a casual game. I am still playing Black Flag's campaign because I take my time with it. And the best part, when I'm finished, Unity and Rouge should be out for like $30 :D

One of the few franchises I haven't been disappointed with.

Edited by Trick-Star: 9/5/2014 2:35:32 PMIt's an amazing series that continuously proves that annual release games don't have to be terrible. AC Unity has been in production for a few years now, and is reimagining their new engine. As for other games such as EA's sports games and CoD, they don't change much. Which is why they are criticized. Also, for all of you in here who have "quit" AC after III, you're idiots. You should at least try the next game they make to see if they've learned. AC IV was an amazing hit.

I am not a huge fan of the franchise. TBH the only thing that I really enjoyed about the series is being a pirate in black flag. I found driving the ship, singing piratey songs, and swabbing the deck to be a very pleasant experience. Its not that its a bad game its just a game I am not totally into. Much like the batman franchise.

It's a fun game to play, but my god are the AI so incredibly bad. They need to make the games more challenging.
-
It's one of my most favourite vidya gaem franchises. AC1 = Okay. A bit repetitive. ACII = The best one so far. Brotherhood = Great game. Has the best combat so far. Revelations = More of the same really, and felt like AC:B DLC, but it was still pretty good. Also gave good closure to Ezio and Altair 's stories. ACIII = Bad game is bad. Should have been about Haytham instead of Connor. Black Flag = Rivals ACII as being the best one so far. Unity = I need it injected into my veins. Will undoubtedly be even better than ACII. Rogue = Story sounds very interesting, and will really blur the lines on who the good and bad guys are. Plus Haytham will have a sizeable role in it, so that's always a plus.

It's good if you ignore all the special edition crap they do all the time.

I find to to be a great franchise that continues to impress me on how it proves annual franchises can be of high quality.

Eh. I'm tired of the ubisoft formula, it's repetitive and boring and makes all their games dull. Do missions. Mission unlocks fast travel. Go to point on map that reveals a section of it. Side quests that are the same 3 or 4 missions with variations. Repeat ad infinitum. And it's not just assassin's Creed other. Watch Dogs did it Far Cry does it and from what I heard The Crew is in a similar formula.

Edited by Mortis101: 9/7/2014 5:16:50 PMI have all of the assassins creed games and I look forward to unity which I have preordered I will get Rouge but I will wait till it goes down in price before it pick up a copy I have the books also
-
Love the games but they just need to slow down, release every two years, I have only just got Black Flag because it came cheap
-
I like unity but I don't really like rouge tho
-
I like it a lot but I wish they wouldn't release yearly
-
Ac2 was the best one Ac3 wasn't so bad to me Ac:bf terrible in my opinion I hated all ways being on the ship and it had some stupid glechs Ac unity looks like its going to be so fluid with ever thing you can do with climbing and stuff like it should be
-
Edited by Chemicalol: 9/7/2014 7:55:37 AMI love it and can't get enough. Glad to see Haytham is back in AC Rouge.
-
Ive liked them all. Except for black flag. I dont care to much for the ships. Im glad unity will be back in a city like 2 was.
-
I hate playing outside the animus it's so boring
-
I miss my copy of Black Flag. :c

It is my favorite series ever. My wife watches it like a movie, and I love that the game is open to any style of play. Full on attack, or ninja like, and anything in between. Personally, I try to play every mission as fluidly as possible, as an assassin would execute. The story outside the animus WAS extremely intriguing, but has maybe stagnated a bit over the last 2 games. However, with all the hacking/sneaking around the office in BF, I think the story is about to take off again. I am actually pleased that the gaming community is so polarized about the series. Some love it, some hate it... It keeps the Terribads out of ubisoft forums trying to turn it into Call of Duty with haystacks.

Where's the "It's not 2007" option.
-
Is the other new one rouge or rogue? One is the French word for red The other describes someone who doesn't belong or chooses to go against the norms... Both could be an assassins creed title
-
I enjoy them. It usually gets me more interested in different parts of history. Except the Revolution. That's always bored but Connor made it feel like I had taken Ambien.
-
oOnly have ac3 if it's the worst one I'm so excited to get to play the rest of them
-
I have to be one of the few that actually liked the outside Animus stuff, they just royally screwed it in AC3 so they had to start fresh. Most if the games were fun to me barring 3. I'm really excited for Unity and hope it bring back the great stuff from AC2.
-
All of the above
-
1. Meh 2. Fantastic Brotherhood: good Revelations:stopped playing 3. Stopped playing 4. Didn't want, got as gift, was super happy.
-
Unity is definitely bringing the series back to what it was in the beginning, and rogue is not looking to bad either for the last hurrah for 360 and ps3
