Hey guys, I heard today that the install size of the download version of the game is just shy of 19gb where as the physical is 40gb. Anyone know why? Would it be that some sort of day one patching is included with the physical?
Cheers

Ah ok, that makes sense. Saw it on Xbox mag's news feed and thought it sounded a bit weird. Cheers for the info!

Both the digital and hard copy of the game will be a 40GB installation. The standard digital edition is compressed, much like a .ZIP folder on your PC, to save space and take up less of your valuable internet allowance (assuming you have one). Once unzipped, or uncompressed, the digital copy will take up the same amount of space.

40gb could just be a disclaimer, it does say "up to", if not then the Digital version is really compressed.

I would say you heard BS and nothing else, physical copies always take as much or less space as a digital on ya drive.

both digital and hard copy will actually be the same size after the game is fully installed on hdd.

The download file is compressed and will decompress and install the rest at launch while you play so both are 40gb.
