Our clan is fairly new, and some of us are new to clans/MMOs altogether. Does anyone know what will be different (if anything) in experiencing Destiny as a "clanmate" vs clan "member"? Thanks!
Thanks to the two people who responded for these points:
- A guardian can only be clanmate to one clan, but a member to many
- There will be achievement(s) that can only be attained as a clanmate
Does anyone else have more to add?
If Bungie has addressed this in any news releases or videos, a link to said information would be awesome!

3 Repliesclanmates are the ones that represent your clan in-game. Members do not. most of the time members just join a bunch of clans and wait till they see one they join develop into something they want then become clanmate. Some just do not know how to become a clanmate. I even had others join just to advertise their own clans. Frankly, I am a bit iffy about people who are just members only in my clan. Trust issues I guess.

Here is a easy way to look at it if your in a group and your a member it's just a easy way to chat with other players and can join as many as you want but if the group is to become a clan you have to have 4 clan mates b4 the game will recognize your group as a clan once you find the group you like and be come a clan mate then that's who you play with in destiny I would recommend you pick a group with your friends and be come a clan mate there

4 RepliesFrom what I've gathered you can be a member of many clans, but only a clanmate in one. I'd assume that whatever bonuses for being in a clan come from being a clanmate, not just a clan member.
