The hunter was terrible in beta. Throwing knife was the ONLY saving grace, and even that isn't enough to have made it worthwhile.
Titan was only a struggle to overcome when they hid behind corners and supered my ass.
Warlock though...DoT grenade, projectile AoE with DoT damage, and longest range jump?
Game.set.match. Your move, hunter fanboys.

Make it available to view on phones tho...

As a fellow warlock there truly is no best class. It's all based on skill and playstyle. Titans strikers are up in your face beasts Defenders are defence pumped support players Hunters gunslingers are precision based speed Blade dancers are melee and avoiding sight with blink and invisibility Warlocks are aoe and damage kings Sun singers are either support, or damage upped powerhouses

I'm gonna play a Warlock too. But this video proved nothing. Any class can be a sniper. But, the way you used Nova Bombs was awesome. I will say that.

Your DoT grenades are great for killing immobile idiots. our homing grenade is just as good in my opinion for holding a point and if we want DoT we just use our incendiary bomb (oh and trip mines will be cool but those dont really count right now) Hunter special has way more range than warlocks and look funny as hell to golden gun a warlock out of the air when hes throwing a special. If your smart its a guaranteed three kill vs warlock just panic attacking with their ult. and your glide is long but its also slow. You fairies float through the air like lame ducks so easy for shooting down. Hunters have the highest and fastest jumps makes it much easy to move around the map. check mate.

Edited by ForeverCortana: 9/1/2014 10:36:55 AMFloating lazily through the air for a period of time is somehow going to help you in a gunfight against someone who can actually aim..? I will admit the warlock grenades are pretty good but their health & mobility are terrible compared to hunters. Hunters have the fastest movement & most combat effective jumps. I had people tripping over & over in the beta due to me being able to jump & strafe in the air essentially. I also have the advantage of using bumper jumper controls so i can jump all i want without ever having to take my thumb off the right stick. Basically this means while im jumping left & right in the air, i am also precision aiming to get my kill. most people use default & have to use A(X on PS) to jump which really screws up how well you can aim on the fly lol. Taking your thumb off the right stick to do anything then moving it back will only spell defeat for you when you are gun fighting with someone who always has their thumb on the look pitch even while double / triple jumping in the air. P.S. this is only about competitive MP. PVE you can pretty much use any class you want the A.I are not hard to out smart especially with a team. All the stuff i just said is mainly aimed at crucible related stuff.

Skill > gear/class

I chose hunter because they look cooler. Game set match?

FIGHT ME!!!!!!!

Keep in mind that even though yes the Warlocks super CAN kill more people in one use. it's MORE likely that you get all 3 kills with the hunters golden gun. I will admit that the warlocks grenade is better for crowd control. Although the hunters grenade can also do sufficient DoT. Also yes, the throwing knife is GREAT. We'll have to wait and see about about the other subclasses, but for now the warlock is way too situational for PvP compared to the hunter.

I do agree. Coming from a hunter who was a master of the one v one kill and especially good with golden gun (who isn't lol) I will say the hardest class to beat in most one v ones and general clashing between teams was the warlock. Their primary grenade does waaayyyy too much damage over time allowing for easy crowd control (almost as equivalent to a super) due to its initial damage as well as damage over time which was waaaaaayy more effective than hunters grenades (the grenades also made for easy cap and defend) then that nova bomb was easy to stop but if you didn't stop the warlock it was an automatic Kilimanjaro due to initial impact damage and damage over time. So yea it was definitely the best class though i do prefer the hunter class over everything else

Me: A hunter My team: All warlocks Result: Me top
-
The warlock was a damage hose... If they toned it down for the retail I'd have a party
-
Hmm, good points. As much as I F**king hate the Warlock jump, the height on it is so nice in Old Russia.
-
umm, I think as a person and as a fellow warlock id like to say that for normal people its probably skill and preferences that determine how good they are and what class they choose, but looking at you dude... you are insane and I just really doubt you can utterly control a map like I just him do with any other class. Jesus...
-
I agree if you miss the fist of havock you will get killed by the people near you and if you do GG then you need really good aim or else and nova bomb you jump back so you get away from danger
-
Wow nice vid and song :) What sniper are you using? I never came across one with that particular sight. I also need to up my Nova Bomb game, those were awesome cross-map kills. I also need to get better internet but that's a different story.
-
The best class is the one you learn to play with. The awesome rule in every game.

I did best in pvp with my hunter. Titans super was like suuuper close range one chance deal. I loved the swarm grenade, just chuck it close and youll get SOME damage. Chuck it to defend zones, protect doorways, and i think golden gun is amazing as well. Three shots, subclass to make it over penetrate. Great for attacking/defending a flag. I did however find the double jump to be the least appealing movement ability. I expect the triple jump to be better, but ultimately will likely switch for blink when i can.
-
What gun was you using? The jigoku? (Spell check)
-
Im a warlock and i agree with all of this even though i didnt read it.
-
Very enjoyable to watch and not a single scene with auto rifle. *tips hat*
-
Pulse Grenade- Well it took a tweak in my game play style to master the pulse grenade but soon it became way more useful than the flash and it's periodic pulse attacks have I've gotten me many kills from people misstepping or helped me lock down a zone/door/hallway. Lift (jump)- Not sure what a fully devolved warlocks glide is like a like but from what I've played I prefer the titans lift. Super- I agree there are some advantages to nova bomb (especially against PVP enemies on moon) but I prefer the fists of havoc as I love close quarters and the DOT Aftershock was like a second pulse grenade on the field. I'm ignorant of warlocks but I believe they also have a dot effect from nova bomb? Energy drain or some such which makes me want to pursue a warlock but less armor kind of puts me off :/

That montage was awesome man. What console are you on?
