The beta is over. How did you go out?

And what a trip it was. I overlooked the earth as the server shut down, and broadcasted to twitch for the final hour and a half. Let's hear your stories, Guardians.

Finished the devils layer again, put some stuff in my vault "just in case", went to the tower and sat on one of those metal things protruding out of the tower and turned off my 360, letting my guardian watch over the last safe city until I return. [spoiler]I plan on making my guardian look the same as I did in the beta.[/spoiler]

My way out was through a disconnection from the server and then not being able to log in again 2 hours before it closed :(

Realizing that I had leveled all available skills and done most that I could until 9/9, accepting that my char was doomed, I jumped onto the landing pylons at the Tower, sat for a while enjoying the vista of the safe city below...and jumped.. In the fictional world of real life I turned off the game, finished my coffee and went to work knowing the beta would be closed when I returned

I didn't, actually. I tried to play it this morning and the popup of doom told me that I couldn't. I then proceeded to carefully put down my cup of Earl Grey tea on the side table like a very cultured person, before dropping to my knees dramatically and screaming 'NOOOOOOOO' Didn't get sent out with a bang. :<

I had to step away from my toon right after my wife and I played the moon mission. I was just so depressed. The investment team did a great job making us want to care about our characters, I was sad when my alpha warlock was wiped. I am very excited to roll my next character though!

leveled my 2nd beta test character to max...bought a ship, went back to the tower to turn in my bounties, engrams, and whatnot...put my character in all their best kit, dismantled the rest, took a screenshot, and that was it...i quit just before the end, because it was time for food. the 9th of september can't come soon enough..

I'm looking forward to the game releasing but hoping that there will be changes about the game on what some of us players were suggesting to add.

After putting in an entire weeks worth of work hours into this fantastic beta, I found myself pretending all day yesterday it was already over so I wouldn't have to experience the tears after claiming victory and being sent into orbit for the final time until 9/9.

I took part in what I think was a dance party consisting of every single person that could fit into the tower. (I think it's 16?) But yeah, we danced for the last couple of minutes and I even got a picture of the last 5 seconds in the Beta with my fiends and some random, but very cool guys. But the party is never over, and we shall dance again! *Dramatic fist raise*

There was me and 3 other guardians, each sitting on one of those docking things that go off the edge of the tower, we just sat down and overlooked the city, there were others back where you spawn into the tower, right near the end a lot of people started waving and of course, there was dancing. [spoiler]Really wish Xbox one had a screenshot button. [/spoiler] RIP <3

Knowing i could not keep the gear i collected. I played the moon Saturday and did not touch it Sunday. Going to wait till the full release to actually play this game hardcore.

Went out with a whimper. Popped in to Explore mode for a bit earlier in the day yesterday, then my fiancée's family came by and we went to town. Ate, swam, lollygagged. Came home, turned on the game finally ready to play, got in a Crucible match, took a shower, and then it was all gone. But man was it all fun!
