Edited by Aria Gomes: 7/29/2014 5:35:47 AMHunter super is perfect. You can sneak up on people with it. Crouch walk and bang. Evaporated person.

Just here to make it 667 posts

I'd be happy if you could combine the power of all three shots so that you can one shot vehicles like the other two classes are able to.
-
A hunter is not supposed to be in the middle of the fight it's supposed to be distanced so it works perfect if you use the hunter the way it should be used
-
It seems you need ot learn how to use the Hunter, I have almost 2 K/D ratio with it, its super is pretty good, you just need to learn how to use the class.
-
No quality (of player) over quantity (of bullets)
-
Your comparing classes based on supers.... The gunslinger isn't suppose to be an AOE class.
-
Have you not seen the stats on the top 100 players in pvp and 67 of them are hunters?

First, this is a beta, so EVERYbody is a Noob. You may have played COD and BF4, and prolly everybody has a better KDR than me, but this game is too new for even Bungie to be sure what's OP or should get a buff or a nerf, that's part of the reason to have a beta. Second, a balanced game is one where you get killed a lot no matter what class you're playing. That's what makes it balanced. And if it's a "rock-paper-scissors" type balance, which I think Destiny is, you're gonna get killed more by one class, and more by one type of super, than by others, so get used to that. Third, there are certain combinations of class, weapon, perks, and play style that will up your chances against some other combination--and help you get more kills. With all of the above understood, I have to agree that the Hunter's Golden Gun needs a bit of tweaking. The Hunter has the agility and speed on the Titan, while Titan has the armor and regen to stand and fight. While I've played a lot with both Hunter and Titan, I've found nothing beats the auto rifle as a primary weapon and use it with both Titan and Hunter during PvP. This forces me into a run and gun game when I play Hunter. Add to that the throwing knife and grenade-both short range- and you gotta play it fairly tight in the fight. And the topper is that while a sniper rifle headshot is usually a 1 shot kill, a scout rifle triple-tap, or a pulse rifle burst to the head, will not usually kill in PvP--it usually takes 4+ shots with a scout rifle and three bursts from a pulse rifle to send a Guardian to spawn. Yet while Titans use the two-finger-panic-smash-of-death anytime they get close, I VERY rarely use the Golden Bugzapper to any good effect when I play Hunter. You have to get it ready before you get into a fight because of the fist-high He-Man pose animation, and once it's ready, you have very little time to use it. Sure it may be a hand cannon, but the Golden Gun seems to have a pretty good range and accuracy. It could be a shorter range sniper rifle--IF it only killed on a head shot. Or a longer range shotgun--IF it took two body-blasts to kill. What Id like to see is the Golden Gun NOT be a 1-shot kill UNLESS it was a head shot. Miss the noggin? You need to double-tap to kill. BUT lose the bug-zapper/power of Greyskull animation, so you can fast-draw-and-fire like Dirty Harry.

LOL yeah 5 or 6 1 shot kills, that'd be balanced. Can I have some of what you're smoking, please?
-
Aaah.. Not a OP-thread again..
-
Hunters will have blade dance in the full game which honestly looks rad.
-
no.....just no.
-
No. Because a warlock only needs to flick his wrist and detonate their light bomb Super in the general area and does damage to multiple targets. A Hunter has to raise their arm to announce they are about ready to CAREFULLY AIM their super at a single target, or walk around in hopes of lining up 2 or 3 targets. Yea, no. Less aiming and more generalized destruction please.

Edited by MeetingByChance: 7/28/2014 4:25:19 PMI see hunters dominating PVP in many of the lobbies I was in even with this super. I'm sure they will be fine.
-
Actual solution: Work on your aim.
-
Has anyone else noticed that when you scope-in quickly and then quickly scope-out before the shot has hit that it doesn't one-shot enemies?
-
No its not. It has range, control, and power. The only thing that needs to be changed is that time limit that hunters get. Either make it much longer or take away the time restriction.
-
Burn it to the ground
-
I feel that it takes more skill to kill with a Titan or Warlocks power than it does with a hunters. A Titan & Warlock's can be avoided. I hate hunters more than the other two classes in the game.
-
I feel like the characters are all balanced in their own way and that the hunters skill is fine but a time increase would be nice but we dont really need it
-
Honestly I think the Hunter is just fine. It's not to be crazy powerful with a lot of armor. That would be OP with our agility. We're the assassins of Destiny.
-
While the hunters super can kill much fewer people, it is ranged and can be used then wait a moment then kill someone wait then kill then wait then kill again they have three chances to kill with it and dont have to get up close and personal. The titan and wizas only get one shot and if they miss then oh well you get killed. And they have to get close the (wizard not so much) the enemys have more of a chance (but still not much) and have more of a warning.
-
Hunter is a class that solely relies on skill, if you can't handle it don't use em. Hunter is fine. If anything, I would say increase their running speed so agility feels like it actually does something
-
Hunter is a rapists in PvP. In PvE he is a single target killer, which probably will change with other ability sets.
-
We have yet to see if the 'exploding' people part does any substancial damage when they explode, but I do agree with you mostly. Although, even 5-6 shots would still be pretty adequate, when it upgrades to also explode, they may take down 1-2 of the shots? Still leaving 4-5 shots that actually are worth using your super? I really agree with most of this, and I'm sure they will come up with something to help us out.
