It won't be like this in the final release. Is it not clear that the beta is not a finished game? It seems obvious to me. An idea I had is that they could release a weekly patch or something to give us a new quest line to look forward to. That way every experience is truly new. There wouldn't be repeated or reused quests. It would also make sense for why it's not in the beta because they're likely saving these quests for the final release.

First of all this feedback is for the beta regardless of how you want to interpret it, that is what this is. The game is also two months from launch and like it or not we are testing a serious build of the game, granted the NPCs will likely improve with final release but the environment? AI? Ways to loot? Quality of the missions? it is unlikely they restricted these for the beta and if they did my issues are justified in this feedback. I have no solid reasons to believe that all of these things will experience a serious jump in quality once the game is released. This forum post thus far has trended on many tags and feeback too but as far as I am aware bungie has not responded (it could be addressed later maybe in the weekly post). I sincerely hope you are right (everyone wins that way) however I just don't have the reasons to justify that hope as it stands now.

  • The entire game would become far better with side quests, which are hopefully in the final release
