Canary Problems

I keep getting the Canary Error and my connection is fine.

    • It's the last day of the beta, and I was really hoping I would at the very least get 1 whole day to enjoy the game. But no... Even today the game throws me out after 5 mins. Bungie why aren't you doing anything about this issue? 7 of my friends are also affected.

    • I have been kicked off a few times by "canary". That hasn't been too bad, though, as it will let me play for a good amount of time in between. However I know I have friends online who are trying to send me invites and things, but I can't join anyone and when I go to my "friends" everything just freezes. Anyone else having that problem?

      • I still haven't been able to play the Beta properly - will Bungie have this issue fixed for the last day of the beta? I pre-ordered the game with a deposit and everything and I've not been able to play the game properly. Bungie are you at least listening to this feedback? It feels like this issue is being ignored.

        • I had Canary myself. I tried a number of things short of forward porting. I have a wired connection and have a sufficiently fast (50mb) connection. Solution - I hard rebooted my Xbox One (hold the power button for 10-15 seconds), left it off for 30 seconds and then turned it back on. It worked. Good luck! JTS

          • Still getting the canary message when i am obviously connected to XBL. Tried restarting xbox one and unplugging from power completely. This new crap box one was a huge scam. Come on PS4.

            • I think there may be server issues as a lot of people seem to be having this problem and know that there connection is fine, if not perfect. It also seems strange that the problem only happens with the beta and no other games yet they are telling us it's a problem are side. They also seem to be having problems with this site, so I would imagine they have open up the flood gates and not prepared for it.

                • I just tried again and every 5 minutes I get thrown out of the game. It's so frustrating! A few of my friends in the UK are having the same issue. Bungie needs to act!

                      i can only hope that its just because its not supposed to start till the 23rd. im guessing it was to just let you go ahead and download. again, just a guess. or it is super slammed right now

                      • I'm getting the same problems . Xbox one is seriously a huge let down! they had the same kind of problems on the release date of xbox one and they blamed it on stupid connection problems, when the real problem was with them! I hope these guys get their act together soon or i'm selling this piece of junk!

                        • I have a wired connection to my router, and I've never had a problem with my internet like this before. It runs completely fine, so I don't know what the hell kind of expectations this game is asking us to have

                            • Is there a solution to this problem? I'm directly wired and my internet is working just fine. I don't need to troubleshoot anything, the only source of this problem seems to be coming from the beta. And yes I waited for it to download fully.

                            • Decided to give up with this now. I will see if it works tomorrow evening after work. Getting a little frustrating doing the same section constantly or trying to rush through to get to a checkpoint before if gives me this error
