My last strike mission I ended up finding that out. I laughed when it popped off like it was nothing. Unfortunately the other weapons don't pop off off...as far as I know.

Sniping/blasting the legs with the rocket launcher till it's core exposes has always been my easiest way of killing it. Dodging it's blue orbs and big gun have gotten pretty easy. It's just annoying having to kill all the small mobs for special ammo.

I haven't gotten any of the others to pop off either. but I feel that the one gun is enough, because its THAT gun.
