I'm horrible at PvP. I don't usually play it, but Destiny actually was so fun in PvE, that I was foolishly inspired to try. The result? I'm abysmal. I mean 1 kill, 3 assists, & 17 deaths? Yeah, I'm that bad. But I try - I don't rage quit, I race to capture the zones, & I don't just sit somewhere & hide. I like being part of a team.
When I first played, just to show you how naive I am, I was using a scout rifle. Needless to say, I was repeatedly massacred before I could get off 2 shots. I did better when I switched to the auto rifle. PvP always intimidated the hell out of me because people get really serious about it. It's like being back in elementary school; I dreaded being picked last because I was that bad.

Who cares about the k/d ratio. What matters is getting the flag zones. The more flags, the faster your points go up. K/d doesn't have anything to do with domination or conquests.
-
Incorrect. The flags do not generate points in Control. What actually happens is each flag will help generate MORE points from kills, which is what fills the score bar. You could cap 0 flags and eventually a team would win with the time limit because it's 100% based on kills, but the flags are the score modifiers. A kill with all 3 controlled, before other bonuses, is 400 points compared to 100 for a team with none.

I have to agree with you since I haven't played yet but I thought it was like domination in BF4

What you got against scout rifles?
-
Nothing against the scout rifle, but it isn't the best fit for my play style because my reflexes are not fast enough to cycle the trigger effectively. It's good for me in PvE because the enemies are more stationary. I prefer the auto rifle anyway. I can't stand the pulse rifle.

The scout rifle requires a certain rhythm in between trigger pulls. It's a lot like the dmr from halo reach.

I've never played any Halo game. Destiny is my first introduction to Bungie.

Welcome to Bungies ultimate universe.

That's what I'm saying. I rock a scout rifle in PvP as well as PvE.
