Why did this guy get such a good drop?

The worst player on our team in Crucible got a purple hand cannon and the two best players didn't get anything. WHERES THE JUSTICE?!

The loot system is random. I don't usually play PvP cause I'm just a bullet sponge, but I jumped in for Iron banner cause I wanted the cloak. Anyway, my first 3 games I noticed top players getting items, one even got a ship, but after that I saw that the loot was being dispersed randomly. Then I realized the system was going to be structured like MMO's where the whole team can essentially roll for loot only they removed the roll function and it simply awards it randomly. To all the players complaining that top players aren't getting anything for being top, you're wrong. The top players get more crucible rep for doing well which ups their crucible rank much quicker. This in turn leads to them getting legendary crucible items from the vendors. That's the true payout. Poor players will have a tough time getting their crucible rank up. On top of that the good players still have equal chance at getting the maps loot drop anyway. Good players aren't missing out on anything.
