I just want to know how you let something like this slip... I mean do companies not test their own games anymore? This seems like it would be a pretty common occurrence if you had actually tested it yourselves. The two prominent things we've seen that trigger it are vault use, and dormitory connections (which I would assume is simply due to heavy traffic on a single large network). How are you just now finding these things out? Are we your only guinea pigs? If beta data transfers into retail will those of us who lost all data and missed events be compensated?

  • Seriously, THIS is the testing! It's a beta not full release. Why are you getting all bent out of shape for a preview. In beta form this still runs better than bf4 7 months after release. They still have 50+ days to iron out what they learn here.

  • Yes I am disappointed, I have every right to be. It's disgusting that a company would so flagrantly leave all the testing to the public. Do you know anything about game design? The beta is right before release, all major bugs should have already been found before the alpha.

  • If you think that Bungie haven't done any internal testing then you are quiet frankly daft. They'll have done loads of internal testing, but they cannot find every error or problem. Yes they may've known about this problem from the alpha and not had the time to fix it or the mass amounts of data needed to find a solution. Online games get patched all the time, just look at other MMO's like Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online. That game was thrown out for beta testers and had a lot of problems before they wen't live. All the problems got fixed and they're still releasing patches nearly every week.

  • Bungie can only test the game so many times. The testers can only find so many bugs. This is why we have the beta in the first place. To find these errors and get ahead start and fix them before the game goes live. So just give them chance and get things fixed. :)

  • Using the vault caused the error that most of us are getting. That's not a hard bug to find... It's piss poor testing on their part. The problem was found in alpha.
