PSA: We are currently working on a fix for the Centipede issue
A number of users have been experiencing repeated 'Centipede' errors and are unable to log in. We are working hard on a resolution to this issue, and hope to get it fixed soon. Thank you for all our patience, and [i]All Hail the Sacred Centipede[/i], he requires many sacrifices upon the alter of networking to sate his hunger.

Edited by Randorrian79: 7/21/2014 11:59:18 PMI never used the vault. I pre ordered the game from gamestop and used that beta code. Then I cancelled that pre order and pre ordered it from psn. I still have my digital pre order from psn but also pre ordered the ghost edition from Amazon. I used all three beta codes and recieved nine beta codes to use when the beta launched on the seventeenth. During the alpha I was able to play the second day for about an hour. During the beta I was able to play on the second day about an hour also. I'm using a netgear nighthawk r7000 router. I've even gone wired and nothing helps. I've forwarded my ports and have created a new psn account. On the new psn account I was able to create a character but that's it. Not sure if this helps but hopefully it does.

I'm experiencing the CENTIPEDE error as well. I can not access/log-in to my account, and also on the Destiny App it said that my account has not played Destiny, or when I try tapping on the Grimoire or Tower Map in the App it says I must create a character which I had already done when I could access my account. I had already played a bit before I experienced this error. Another thing is that I am able to play just fine on my brother's PSN account. I think it is something conflicting with Bungie/Destiny account, and my PSN account. I really hope this is patched/fixed after the 2-day maintenence.

ive had no issues with errors or anything the beta has been smooth for me even thru iron banner... the only quam i have is that Titan class is way to over powered their Super Charge is an epic example of this... its too powerful kills 5 ppl in one hit, while warlocks have to aim theirs with the possibility of missing, and hunters have to aim and only get a few seconds to shoot 3 well placed shots and when time runs out its its gone... maybe no time limite would be nice... and upon upgrading and leveling add more shots instead of time would be the way to go i think... as well i think Titans should only hit those in front of the jump not everyone in the radius of the Titan...

12 RepliesThought I'd add in a bit of info to maybe help Bungie troubleshoot this. Long story short well after I'd been getting the centipede error, I tried delinking and relinking my PSN account several times. Didn't work and kinda messed things up, but I just got my PSN relinked to my original bungie account and here's something odd I noticed. So while logged in with this original bungie account (that now has my PSN and Live linked to it) it says I haven't played Destiny yet, which is a lie as I played for 5-6hrs with it. BUT when I log out, it logs me out to my profile page, which DOES show my Destiny characters! It doesn't have the model of them, but I can see all the stats and gear they have, while I'm LOGGED OUT. But once I log in....POOF!....it says I haven't played Destiny! Yup, something is "off" there, not connecting right. Hope that helps a bit, and here's praying to the centipede lord that it's fixed by Wednesday!

3 RepliesI'm willing to bet the purple hand cannon that I got from the little bit of the Iron banner I did get to play that centipede has to be around the shared bank. I got hit with centipede when I was moving things from my level 8 warlock onto my level 4ish titan. I got hit Saturday night and wasn't able to log in all of Sunday. Oddly enough, last time I checked I was like 155k and change in the queue to get back online, so that's a good sign. I still have no ability to check my character stats on the companion app though, and I'm writing this ramble of a post from it, oddly. So Meh. Good luck to you and yours on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll see you there.

The centipede seemed to have affected many people in the first half of the beta and I am sure that those that have been affected would like to know if this issue could see a resolve for the second half of the beta. Should those that have been affected expect to be able to play on Wednesday? So we can continue to support the beta and ultimately your end product, or should we expect this issue to continue? Any information in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Havent been able to play since day one due to Centipede at least i got a little time before it went to hell. Even after maintenance.

Two days of down time and not even a slightest update on this....but updates on people dancing in game....cause none of us have seen that before!
