Event Timing (please read)
Dear Bungie
I have played a lot today in the beta, specifically the Iron Banner event. As you well know the length of the event is two hours. I managed to acquire rank one in the Iron banner and and emblem along with it, however I was not able to buy the cape due to lack of glimmer.
I wish to propose that once the event has finished; one May no longer participate in the crucible matches, while a window is left open at the end of the event; in order to acquire the glimmer required for the special items.
This would allow us guardians to still acquire the gear that we earned (we did in fact meet the requirements just not the funds).
It's just a suggestion.

2 RepliesI agree, the event was too short, and it needs to stand out a bit more. Like more rewards, more time with new maps!So, the bungie Iron Banner event took place from 2-4PM pacific time today, and was advertised to include 2 maps: one on mars and one in old russia. Me and 2 friends played for 3 hours (yes, during the correct time), and we only got to play ONE of the new maps, on mars, for ONE game, out of about 15 games total. I did like the way weapons and armor differences came into play; definitely better than regular games with no armor/weapon power differences. However, all in all I felt very underwhelmed by this "SPECIAL EVENT!" and was disappointed; it didn't feel very different at all, and it certainly did not feel very special. As far as me and my friends can tell, it was just another session of back-to-back moon and venus multiplayer.

4 RepliesI agree, I had no idea that the rewards at the Tower were also timed. I spent as much time as I could in Iron Banner only to find I was out of luck when I went back to the hub. I really really wish it had been clearer that there was a time limit on collecting rewards as well. In every other situation you have all the time in the work to collect things at the tower. I guess I learned how it works the hard way... Did I miss something?

1 ReplyI played the entire event, and now since I didn't go to the tower sooner I get nothing? Awesome... Should have put that in the newsletter. That's garbage, and yes to all you haters I'm irritated... that's BS!

1 ReplyI just don't see why it's an issue to leave the door open a little while longer. A lot of us spent the entire 2 hours in the crucible expecting that we could get our rewards from the vendor afterwards. But apparently not.
