Pretty sure MJOLNIR MKIV is still small arms-proof.
Not to mention John nearly killed like 4 ODST with his bare hands.
Edit: who dug up this gem? If I had to guess, I would guess it was Inglorious.

Yeah he killed them. He was practicing boxing or something in the gym. Some ODSTs came in and started harassing him because he was a kid. It got physical and John killed all of them. That's why ODSTs hate Spartans.
