So which version of Destiny do you plan to buy. In this video I lay out which one may be the best for you, and I say which one I am getting (actually got it today!).

Standard Edition. None of the items in the "special kids" editions even remotely interested me. "But, Vampire; what about the upcoming DLC? If you don't get the 'I'm-retarded-with-my-money' editions, you'll pay more for DLC!!!" Who said anything about DLC? The base game will work as a time killer well enough until the next Fallout and Elder Scrolls games come along. That's all I need Destiny for anyway; a way to kill some time until those two games come out.

I am buying the Xbox One limited edition because I have an xbox one ( can't afford a PS4 and I hate the setup, controllers, the menus, PSN network). I would have liked to get a ghost edition but in my town there was only 9 in the entire town and all the staff of the store booked them for themselves. And I know I is hated on sony but hey my first console was a playstation, my next one was a playstation 2 but the game and console that turned me into a gamer was the xbox and Halo. ever since then I have been a bungie fan.

Now, I could go for the PS4 bundle... but that is more dependent on how much cash I actually have in 2 months than anything else...

The LE, I wanted a steel case and a season pass equivalent. I can't justify paying $50 for a plastic toy. I mean it is cool and all, but the LE gets all the same in game content so that is what I really cared about. With the $50 I saved from not splurging, I am getting four games in the form of the Master Chief collection, that is such a better use of my gaming money.

3 RepliesEnded up going the ghost route for ps4. Never bought a CE before and I've been hooked since the teases. It's the type of games I love rolled into one and I want to support Bungie (and I'm a sucker for cool art).

I wanted most of the things the limited had to offer, and even the case for the limited is very beautiful.... (see image) But having a replica ghost of mine opens up opportunities and ideas for future cosplay projects, which is something I have been aching to get back into, and Destiny would be the perfect excuse. Thinking up how to create a female hunter's armour and cape, well, that'll take time but it's really this edition of the game which sparked the idea in me. Then there's the red in-game skin for my ghost. Look at it this way, 5 years into playing this game, people will see that and be able to tell I was a vet of the game from the beginning, or ask how i got it. Yesssss, stroke my ego, I like dat.

LE. It seems more worth it to me. I like having guides that help me with the game, but not so much collector's items.
