I was thinking since religion and belief play a big part in the story of bungie games. Perhaps being resurrected by 'the light' might have some references to Christ being resurrected, this got me thinking of the 'holy trinity', 3 man squad - Hunter, Titan and Warlock. Also at a bit of a push the father (man), the son (exo, created by man) and the holy ghost (awoken). A bit of a stretch but why not.

Except Christ's story isn't original... You'd be far better served relating it to Egyptian mythos... Progo made a really nice article about 10mos ago (also mentioned a few posts below this) explaining how everything fits into Egyptian Mythology, centering around Khonsu (God of the Moon, aka "The Traveler") and Osiris (God of the Afterlife). If you really want your mind blown, read that and apply it to Destiny... link

I think its as original as it gets. I like the christ idea. But the egyptian mythology is fun to read as well.

I only say Christ's story isn't original because it's a blatant ripoff of older stories, such as Mithra (Persian god 600 years before Christ) and Krishna (Indian diety 1000 years before Christ). Going to the root of all theology (I.e. The Egyptians) was a good choice by Bungie IMO...

i know what you meant. The egyptian mythology would be a epic, indulging reference to use to base your story off. Plus making all the guardians dead alive people reborn by the light of the traveler. The game is going to have a really detailed, scifi storyline full of rich historic context. I hope!

Ah yeah, I remember that thread - as time goes on there seem to be more and more parallels, pretty cool.
