During the alpha I realized something about Destiny that really bothered me. We didn't get to dress cool, instead if we wanted to live we had to dress for power, and this seriously sucks.
I want my guardian to be My guardian not some random guy with a random set of armor thats powerful. I think there should be some sort of work around for this, like perhaps stat transference from one piece of gear to another, that way I can look as cool as I want and not have to wear lame looking gear to take on the fun missions.

First of all, we could only get to LV 8 in the alpha so we couldn't even get any gear above uncommon. Once we start getting into legendary gear it will start to become more about looks and play style as opposed to armor rating because there will be more variety. Go look at some destiny screen shots and look at the variety of gear each player has. Second, armor shaders will ensure that any random looking gear we do get can be painted to look like all of our other gear. My brother's default titan was all white with red secondary coloring but one person posted a pick of a similar titan but sporting a FWC shader changing his gear to blue with gold coloring and some red detailing work. It made his plain mis-matched armor look like high LV gear.
