I stopped playing or paying attention to it a few months after release. I remember having some funny discussions on Waypoint with people who defended that terrible excuse of a game and made excuses for why the population dropped like a brick just weeks after release.
The funniest excuse was always there being too much competition from other games lol. Some people just couldn't accept 343 made an awful game that nobody wanted to play.
I can't imagine more than 10k still play.

I'm pretty sure the link above shows the most accurate data. Also, the population DID drop a lot when the new CoD released.

2 RepliesI'm gonna say less than 5k. I still check occasionally, but it doesn't take as long to find a match as it does in Halo 3.

I know there was a population graph produced by 343i that showed just how quickly the population sunk. I have no idea where to get the link now though.

About 25-30k

5 Replies15,Kish Halo:Reach is around 30K Halo 3 8K and Halo 1 and 2 zero...sadly
-
About less than 20,000 on Halo 4, same with Halo: Reach last time i saw
-
Last I checked it was 25k. I checked yesterday.
-
It should be at a limit of 10k. Well it should be...
-
thought it 15k ish, I'd pop the disk in and look, but I'd have to re-install multiplayer & all those updates.
-
The last time I played was over six months ago, and at that time the population was below Reach's average level. I'd imagine it's even lower now.
-
I don't know. As long as I can get a game reasonably quick, I'm fine.
