Alpha people, tell me about the tower

Huh, the interior seems like the aquatic centre in London without the water... Anyway, so, do you mind if some of you alpha guys go into a bit of detail about the tower? Such as: What faction people were there, and did they reveal anything about them? Were there any areas locked of for the alpha? Can you use that pelican looking thing that comes and goes?

    1. Factions are located in various places in the Tower. FWC was in the hangar. All of them sell emblems which have stories attached to get a sense of who they are. 2. I tried jumping on the Pelican like ship but I passed through and died. 3. The Hall of Guardians was blocked off. It's located on the north tower. 4. You could stop the Speakers Device by sitting on the main crank shaft ( I know it sounds hilarious) if you can get up on top of it. (even funnier) in fact this entire statement is a giant barnyard door. 5. You can use the crates to get up into the rafters. 6. There's a ball you can play with. 7. There's a bar at the bottom of the Hangar. It looks like a NPC merchant will be placed there. But none was there save a few NPCs. 8. You can get ontop of the Post Master's building. It has a vent that make players look like they are at a beach party. 9. You can get on the ledges and landing spires on the side of the building to really over look the last city. 10. The view from Vanguard's window is spectacular.

    • Factions present were monarchy, dead orbit, future war cult. All had vendors with lvl 20 gear and some shaders to color gear, as well as some weapons. Vendors get leveled up as you use them, giving you access to new gear. There are a few ghosts to revive there There are soccer balls to kick around. There seemed to be one area that was still closed. It was above the steps directly north of where you spawn.

      • Did anyone else have any issues where the tower would be completely empty when spawned in? Most times I went there it would be empty besides the NPCs. The only time it had players in it was after first loading up the game or after going back into orbit and reloading the tower several times until I saw other people.

        • From the looks of it the tower we saw in the alpha only seems to be about half of it. When you spawn in and go forward all the way to the back wall there is a big gate you can see through it looks like another whole area not accessible in the alpha.

          • It felt very much like the citadel in ME3. There are a bunch of faction vendors. I didn't spend too much time focusing on them but they sold gear and shading for coloring armor. There was a postmaster that you get your mail from, what's awesome is she actually would have any loot you missed during your last session, lost and found. There was a weapon vendor, also armor vendors for each class, you also turn in your mission items there for rewards. I forget the name but anyway there is a vendor there that decrypts blueprints basically. Ship vendors and even vendors for crucible marks and you can turn in stuff you find out in the wild or materials you get from breaking down weapons. Oh and then there was your vault. The views from the tower were amazing. Nice view of the last city on earth and the traveler.
