They are. Religious discussion is allowed now. Big mistake in my opinion, though. Should just nuke religious and political discussion wholesale. There are far too many idiots on here that ruin the few decent discussions that are started.

Back in the day, ninjas actually had power. They could lock threads and ban idiots. Now being banned is something to laugh at, everybody has an alt.

I think the two biggest issues are their low numbers and the nerfed CoC. If they had more mods and less relaxed rules, a lot more could get done. They still have power, they just can't use it as much.

And these issues are? Don't blame the soldier because the government took his M4 and gave him an airsoft rifle. When the site is (hopefully) updated, the mods might get some of their power back. DeeJ has already acknowledged that the less strict CoC is being heavily abused, so at least Bungie sees that they either need to fix the CoC, or give the Ninjas some new tools.

Edited by Ktan_Dantaktee: 5/15/2014 5:50:11 PMIP bans. And with more moderators, alt accounts wouldn't be an issue. Short of just banning on sight, there aren't many ways to deal with alt accounts. Although, prohibiting an IP address from making more than 2 B.net accounts could work.

If they're tech-savy, then they could easily do so. But seeing as how in the three years I've been on here, and the first 15 months of my membership I waged war on the trolls of this site, I've only seen less than 8 shock-posters/trolls who actually know what they're doing. The majority are idiots who don't know what a freaking IP address is. This would help stop a good bit of the trolls on here. You can't stop all of them, but you can stop most of them.

Agreed on that, may as well do it if it cleans the Forum a bit. I do hope that the Forum gets another do-over before Destiny comes out or sometime after that changes the layout a tad and gives back power to the mods.
