If only I could have asked this in the official mail sack, but even that might not be the right spot; Will bullets be able to ricochet off objects? I'm sure most of you had something like this happen in halo where you missed your intended target, but the bullet ricocheted off say an inclined floor and hit some unlucky fool in the head to make your day.

Very interesting question. I can't recall reading anywhere that we would see bullet ricochet. From a personally opinion here I believe we will see bullet ricochet but only from a sniper rifle. The Gameplay trailer isn't much help either since she switches to her original gun instead of using the sniper rifle.
