For those who don't know- Hitscan : A type of damage hit registration used in games where there is absolutely no travel time, or path alteration of the virtual bullet. *Think of the Halo sniper.* Ballistic Style : Different than Hitscan because bullets possess semi-realistic properties, in that they travel at a certain speed, drop due to gravity, and ultimately require a different play style to hit targets.*Think of the Battlefield sniper* Obviously weapons like rocket or grenade launchers need to be ballistic style, on the other hand laser type weapons are normally Hitscan, but when it comes to primary weapons like auto rifles, shotguns, snipers, and LMGs, which style of hit detection would you prefer in Destiny? Cheers!

I choose both because it's possible for both. If you are using a projectile weapon, then no, the hit should never be instant. Quick reason why: The other day I was playing titanfall. I just happen to jump up to spider man off a wall when in the split second I was in mid air I saw the trail of a sniper bullet pass under my feet. The fact that I missed being killed by a tiny fraction of my perceived time, and that I just jumped over a bullet - that feeling of realism gave me goosebumps. I want that in destiny.
