Nope.

basically, the town is cursed by a sort of demonic elder god trying to be reincarnated to be a sort of limbo-hell for those with a really f*cked up, guilty mind(ie, the game series' protagonists). it basically is different depending on whose mind it is spawned from. normal people and residents just see an ordinary town. those with severe issues see another world filled with a sort of monsters based on their mind or another's mind. and all the joke endings involve UFOs. pyramid head basically represents a primal female fear of r4p3
since that's part of what happened to the girl that the cultists in SH burned to try and revive their god.
and thus is male. the nurse monsters are there
because she was very poorly and cruelly taken care of when she was in the hospital.
Edited by DarkSpyda04: 3/5/2014 3:18:16 AMI thought Pyramid Head was the embodiment of self-judgment? As in how people will inflict harm upon themselves or wish to be harmed when they did wrong. In the movie Pyramid Head could represent the fear of -blam!- but I think SH2 Pyramid Head was just James' way of punishing himself. In the end, he finally faces his demons and accepts what he did.

well, see it's been so long that i don't care about getting it right.

The protagonist in SH 2 is James though. Pyramid Head and the nurses represent both his sexual frustrations and attraction to other women due to the fact he's stuck with his dying wife who he had begun to resent.
