Edited by RIP delta: 3/4/2014 6:50:15 PMEnjoy getting arrested for jaywalking etc etc etc Also why would I be being mean? I'm lovely
-
Edited by Tyger: 3/4/2014 8:29:25 PMThere's no law about jaywalking that would lead to you getting arrested. I've never even heard of someone being fined for it...
-
Jaywalking is considered an infraction, but in some jurisdictions, it is a misdemeanor or requires a court appearance. The penalty is usually a fine. In some cities (e.g. New York City, Chicago, and Boston), although prohibited, "jaywalking" behavior has been so commonplace that police generally cite or detain jaywalkers only if their behavior is considered excessively dangerous or disruptive #misdemeanor

I actually like the jaywalking laws here. I don't enjoy driving down the road and then being forced to slam on the brakes for some random jerkoff crossing the road only 10 feet in front of me. There's a reason most crosswalks are at intersections.
-
Most people don't require a law to not walk in front of oncoming vehicles though.
-
It looks like they do in Europe.
-
europe is dumb though

....... If I lived in America right now I would be living on the street because of hospital bills.
-
Get insurance, it really isn't that difficult.
-
Tell that to the 50 million American's that either can't afford it or have been denied it.
-
Natural selection.
-
Not natural if it's been denied. It's like saying that person deserved to die because he let me take his water away despite me tying him to a chair.
-
But poor people don't have health care by default.
-
In the UK they do.
-
Sorry, I live in the real world, not commie land.
-
Are what are the figures of those that have become homeless due to medical bills?
-
As part of a research study at Harvard University, our researchers interviewed 1,771 Americans in bankruptcy courts across the country. To our surprise, half said that illness or medical bills drove them to bankruptcy. So each year, 2 million Americans -- those who file and their dependents -- face the double disaster of illness and bankruptcy. But the bigger surprise was that three-quarters of the medically bankrupt had health insurance.
I guess your freedom or the American dream doesn't mention having a home, car, family........oh hang on a minute.
-
Really cramping home that anti-American attitude we've come to expect from you. I'm English, lol.
-
English or not it's fact.
-
I'm not really that bothered.
-
I'm not really that bothered.
...he lied.
